I showed you three times that you contradicted yourself.  (Because you asked me too, remember?  "when did I say....")

 - and the second bit there with the bold was just pointing out how confused you are about Coughlin's job.

Can't wait for your "Doug Marrone is not the Head Coach" thread and your "Shad Khan is not the owner" follow-up.
But Doug Marrone is the head coach.

I would of preferred a different candidate, but he was chosen. Honestly, Coughlin endorsing him makes it a bit better in my eyes and I look forward to seeing what the team can do under Marrone.

What are we contradicting? Tom Coughlin has the final say. Coughlin has the final say, Caldwell and him work together, Marrone coaches.

Jesus H. Christ Pwm, why are you being so delusional about this...

You have no valid argument, period. Atleast NYC brought discussion to this. You literally thought Coughlin was brought in as a consultant.

Coughlin has the final say period. Straight from the mouth of Khan.
Here is it expected.  If you don't produce. You will have a boss period.

On a related note, I think this tweet  shows the character of Dave Caldwell.

Not me.  Marrone did a heck of a job with limited options available.   And no one expected us to blow out the tacks and almost the clots as well.

No other intern has done that.  Not MM not Tucker.   Plus talked to the fans in a language could understand about the game.  And a leader with the players.

Will things change yes.  But they should.

No player has the right to criticize the fan base who shows up week in and week out via stands or direct tv or buys merchandise.  That is not a professional.  That is a cry baby.  And taking it out on the wrong people.

You lack some serious reading comprehension then, because I said from the start that Caldwell wasn't kept as a good service by Khan and that Coughlin isn't going to be doing Caldwell's job.

But I'm not going to waste my time typing up the same exact thing over and over, just for you to post the same links over and over. You're just too stuck in your own head thinking Coughlin is doing everybody's job because he has the final say.

Which isn't the entire case at all. Multiple people have tried to explain this same thing to you and you literally just respond with a couple links and end up saying "Coughlin has the final say period, no matter what". Over and over.

I did not say Coughlin is doing everyone's job. I said Coughlin has the final say. Some of you are reaching. Caldwell and Coughlin will be working together, Coughlin has final say.

As he should. He has payed his dues.

You literally said Caldwell is no longer the GM and that Coughlin is now the new GM, in the very first post of this thread. You then continued to say basically the same exact thing for the rest of this thread. Up until about 1 page ago when you finally backed off to saying that they'll be working together.

But we're the ones reaching right? Ok.

Quote:Congratulations Tom Coughlin, he is now the eyes and ears of the front office. Anything Caldwell does has to get passed by the board (Coughlin). As of right now, Tom Coughlin is the new Jaguars GM. Not sure exactly how drafting and FA acquisitions will go, but be sure, any move Caldwell makes has to be okayed by Tom Coughlin.

This statement is So Not True to say the least. First off Coughlin is the VP of football ops, NOT the front office. Secondly, Caldwell remains our GM to which he'll control the 53 man roster unless there's an discrepancy between Caldwell and Marrone to which Coughlin will be the Tie Breaker per Mr. Khan...

Now this scenario is EXACTLY what I wished for but Coughlin must allow his HC and GM to do their jobs. He has to Trust their decisions. If not he has to wear Three Hats and we all know how that turned out the first time...

NH3...

Sorry you are mistaken.

Are you enjoying ignoring recent tweets of marrone being blocked by tom?

Are you ignoring toms clock back in the building on time is late.

And what exactly is football related?

Is Free Agency not football related?

Is the Draft not football related?

Is signing coaches not football related?

Is cutting players not football related?

Is film study or scouting future players not football related?

Is benching players for not preforming or not following rules not football related?

The reality is THIS.   Toms job is to make sure we become a winning football franchise.  By any mean necessary.  With the exception of cheating. And that includes Blake as well.  He will bring in someone to compete.  He has too.  That is part of his job title.  To Win!  Like Tom said What else is there but winning!

And what dave or doug thinks is not his job.  So like Ben S says your feelings don't matter.  Your not my wife or kids.

<p style="font-size:16px;">Jaguars coach Doug Marrone says he's still working to put staff together. I heard Tom Coughlin has final say in each decision

Been debating them all day. I've given every piece of evidence to back up the claim Coughlin is in charge, they refuse to believe. At this point, let them believe that Caldwell is in charge.

Nobody said Caldwell is in charge my god. We've all told you that Caldwell is still the GM and he's still doing his same job. You're being way too pig headed and delusional to understand this though.
You guys are really still arguing over nothing lol

No one is debating that...we are telling you that caldwell is still the gm and rather than you say yeah caldwell is still the gm, you just come back with coughlin is in charge crap...caldwell still does the same thing hes always done, just reports to coughlin instead of khan...the very title of this thread is wrong, your statements such as this are wrong

the only thing that has changed is who caldwell reports to...before coughlin came caldwell reported to Khan who said yay or nay or that is on you not me...

Quote:Right back at you.

Kinda hilarious that this is your response with all of the posts you've made in this thread.

Carry on.
Quote:You guys are really still arguing over nothing lol

Aren't they though....head of "Football Operations" was Khan  by default as owner. The HC and GM answered to him.

How many people on this board took Khan to task for being a business genius but no football  ability or knowledge.

I saw that criticism quite a bit.

Well, now mr. Khan has fooled you all....head of "Football Operations" is now one of the legends of the game. The HC and gM answer to him. Khan gets to relax some and enjoy what he has built.

What other team has this pedigree in their front office?

Fact...The Jags are in good hands.....

You still need to change the title of this thread.

Nuff' said.

Maybe the admin will lock it.
Quote:Who said he wasn't going to be doing those things? Not me.

Dave Caldwell is a good guy and has done a decent job but obviously the results haven't happened. Khan hired someone to get it turned around quickly. Dave will still be doing frankly everything you mentioned he just isnt the final say, Coughlin is. Dave will learn from the best and gain the necessary experience to build a sustained winning team and will take over full control once Coughlin steps down.

So yes, I agree with you.

So you admit that your title is a falsehood then. Very good, this is progress for you!
