Quote:It's only bad in the student sections. I go to college games all the time and I never have a problem.

As I said, depends where you are sitting. Does that means students fans in those sections are rude?
Quote:I guess it depends on how the fans are and where you are. I've been to many FSU/gator games in gville and if I sat down I wouldn't see the game. On the other hand, I've been to a few bucs games and no one stands up (they have a no standing policy).

The Bucs have a no stand policy? I don't see it indicated in their website. I see no standing on seats and no standing on aisles, walkways and ramps.

It's the "student" section...they get to decide how they want to run it over there.
Quote:If someone did that to me the whole game, I would just rip it in half. lol

lol, so then there would be 2 signs and a mad signer to worry about.
I went to the Men's Basketball Final Four one year. A fan in my section, just in front of me but off to the side, was going on and on about how he "didn't come all the way here to sit!" and "we need to get up and make some noise!" as well as "Come on you guys! This is the Final Four! What kind of fans are you?!?!" type of stuff pretty much non-stop. He did it regardless of the situation in the game or anything else. To my eyes, he was simply yelling to yell.

The game goes on and at one point he started addressing me directly. He had a look on his face that went beyond annoyance all the way to anger. I told him - he was younger than I by a few years, to say the least - that I have been watching basketball long enough to know when to get excited and when there is a lull in the action. I also remember being annoyed at the guy because I could barely even focus on the action on the court.

I really have no problem with the Org telling folks that there is an appropriate time to stand; I just wish some fans didn't need to be told this.

When parents started not teaching their children to right from wrong by not spanking them on the behind as well as not teaching them respect for their own parents or elders by saying yes sir, no sir & yes ma'am, no ma'am!

Basically when parents started thinking it's more important to be "friends" with their kids...
That's fine to be friends with them but be the parent/parents your/they're supposed to be by disciplining them first

My kid has friends...I have friends. I don't need to be his friend, I need to be his mom.

True that...

Glad to read you say that!

Thanks!

Quote:Exactly. I'm barely over five foot, when everyone is standing up in front of me I might as well just stay home because I can't see a thing.

Even when people in front of me sit down I can have a hard time seeing some plays because they are taller than me (5-3).

I only go to one game a year and always sit in Section 213, where Mark Brunell's name is.

Yesterday, Mom asked me if we will go to another game this year. I said, "If they change the quarterback." Gus did that, so we will go to a game.

So you support a player, not the team. Gotcha.
Seems like I have pretty decent people around me this year.  There were times I wanted to stand up when we were on defense a/ big plays and I sort of half way stood up.  There are times I stand up and cant help it....I just get excited.  They lady behind me actually told me to stand up whenever I wanted.  Pretty nice of her.

It was standing room only in God's Country this week.  4 straight hours.  My legs are so sore, but it was worth it!

Double Standard!!!!   :whistling:   Smile

I swear I thought they did.  No one stands there and was told that I couldn't stand by buc fans.  I've probably been there 3 or 4 times.
