"Absolutely stupid"
he just wants to know if anyone shares his sentiments that Lee is going to bust

its pretty clear to anyone with a brain(this would be you and me and pretty much everyone else other than OP)

how does that make the thread stupid?

So please explain why Lee won't be a bust.  What definitive proof is there of him being an elite WR in this league?  Is it the fact that the Jaguars drafted him?  Is it his draft position?  Is it his play on the field?

Are being a bust and being an elite WR the only two options?

Unless they're psychic or have a time machine, nobody can actually do that.

Who claimed this?  Quote them for me.

On the other hand, the point of this post, asking if anyone thinks he's going to bust is drawing the opposite conclusion.  Doing that during the guys rookie preseason is way premature.  Hopefully no explanation is needed on that.

he's looking okay so far

Quote:I see a flash here and there, but honestly, nothing jumps out at me about the guy. Nothing special. Hurns is outplaying this guy and it's not even close. Will Robinson do the same? Probably.

I hope it's just rookie transition, but I haven't seen much special from Lee.

Was this a sarcastic remark or serious?  The guy hasnt even played in week 1 of the regular season, and he didnt play that bad in preseason?

Confused... :ermm:
Epic thread Dakota.

Reminds me of a joke a comedian told back in the 90's that always made me laugh...  I was in a metal band.  People either loved us, hated us, or thought we were OK.

NO on this site you must be a Fantasy 100 catch 1,500 yard guy. If not you are a bust and must be kicked to the curb Wallbash

Without looking, that HAD to be a Mitch Hedberg  joke. Absolutely brilliant comedian.
Quote:Well, I'm not sure about that, but really all that matters is how they play in games on the football field. Antonio Brown has proven time and time again to be a big play guy. Lee's got a ways to go to be mentioned in the same breath as Brown, IMO.

Wait...this is coming from a guy that compared Teddy Bridgewater to Peyton Manning and John Elway for 6 months, right?

Must be hard to keep up with all the dumb stuff you say, huh?

Yes it definitely is a Mitch Hedberg Joke.

"I had an ant farm, them fellows didn't grow [BLEEP]."
Dude was awesome and underrated. Sadly, I didn't discover him until a few years ago and my first google searched led me to finding out he had already passed away.

Quote:If you look back at all of my other posts, my obvious player comp to him and the clear way I would use him was from the slot the way Gilbride uses Victor Cruz. He just isn't going to excel having to beat the jam or make the tough contested sideline catches that outside WRs have to make.

Both of his TDs this preseason have come from him working from the slot, too.

In the preseason, Marqise Lee played 71.0% of his snaps in the slot.

Good to see the coaches notice it too!

I did compare (usually his command of the position) as well as level of QB prospect of TB to Peyton & Luck. I don't recall Elway coming into the convo. He's nothing like Elway. But maybe thats just you adding a little exaggeration for effect. A trait typical of many on this board.

If anyone on this board would be an expert on such things, it would be the drama queen of the board, the bar stool diva.
Quote:Wow. You're really reaching now. Saying Jimmy Smith is a cautionary tale is somehow flipping an opinion when I say people are capable of change? Pretty pathetic bit of flailing here.

Even Jimmy Smith is capable of turning his life around. How am I flipping my opinion here? Are you really trying to say people are incapable of changing ever? Really? Probably one of the more idiotic things you've posted here.
Hey, you're the one who was confident Incognito would come back into the league a changed player.  When I was cautionary, suggesting he was one of those who wouldn't change, you came back with your holier-than-thou "Anyone can change" sermon.  So yeah, advising caution with Jimmy Smith is a flip.
Lee had 6 catches in his NFL debut

he's on his way to bustdom
