Quote:To be fair, the game may simply just be coming slow to Lee, and there's nothing wrong with that especially if Hurns can play across from Shorts, which I absolutely have no doubt he could.
Shorts, Hurns, Lee, Robinson. Could be a scary combo... Granted 3 of them are rookies and they are gonna have their struggles.
Quote:Who labeled him a bust? Can you quote it?
The freaking thread title. Maybe you need to learn how to remember what you just posted.
Quote:Yes, there should be. It's a question, not a statement.
Simple English shouldn't be so hard to comprehend.
I agree and apparently the nuance of a rhetorical question is over your head.
Quote:Apparently, none of you can read. I'll try to type slower about the whole rookie transition thing, but I stand by what I said.
Now, any of you knuckleheads want to try again?
Someone had too many PBR's during the game?

I actually just realized it was Dakota himself who started this thread. He's usually a lot smarter than that so I'd say we're safe to give him a PBR pass on this one. LOL
Definitely a [BLEEP] thread
I've been a little underwhelmed as well. I thought he would look much faster. Or at the very least show flashes of speed and/or acceleration. The game looks like it is moving fast for him right now. But it does for a lot of rookie WRs.
The only thing I'd say I'm concerned with right now is the fact that he looks like a hot head. He was jawing all game until he got that penalty. And you saw him mixing it up a little bit after that as well. Chill pill my man.

I rewatched the game this morning. He seems like he's still getting it figured out a little but is doing the right things from an athletic standpoint. He is getting seperation and drew one offensive holding penalty and should have gotten another. If the first line DBs are worried enough to be grabbing and holding you must be doing something right. Let's remember he's a rookie. He'll be fine.
Quote:Has Lee made any really "explosive" plays at all so far this preseason? This was supposed to be the "steal" of the draft, per some of the pundits.
I think we're seeing why this guy fell out of the 1st round despite initially not being expected to.
Hurns fell out of the draft entirely. He's bad too then, right?
Dude, it's way too early to draw conclusions about Lee. He hasn't shown much yet. How much did Cecil show his first year again?
That's the extent of what we know at this point.

Hurns actually shows some explosiveness in the games so far. Lee has not. Yet Lee was hyped for just that as we headed into this draft.

It's irrelevant to your point. You mention one fell from the first round. The other fell from the draft entirely. If that's your reason to bag on a guy (and you chose to bring it up), then it applies to both. Or you know, it's an irrelevant point, which it is, and you can just omit it entirely.
If your point is that Lee hasn't shown much (as I've personally stated twice), okay, but whether he fell from the first round isn't relevant. Most rookies don't show much right away. Cecil showed nothing. Blackmon looked lost until mid season. Making more of Lee's struggles at this point is not just premature, but foolish.

No, the falling from the first round is relevant if he fell because teams were scared off because of the knee concerns.

Petulant child. How about you let him play some regular season games first? Or maybe he needs mental reps behind Cecil Shorts?

Right. And Hurns falling out of the draft means what? It's irrelevant. The round someone is drafted has no bearing on how they will do. You know this.
I do not think Lee "might be a bust." I think it is too early to tell if a rookie is potentially a bust.
It reminds me of when people thought Brewster "dropped" from the 3rd round. You are drafted where you are drafted.

Brewster would have been a 1st round pick his junior year. Wheels fell off.
Way to early for that nonsense.
