never believe a sports nerd who cant run a mile in under 6 minutes, can't bench at least 135lbs, can't do at least 10 pull ups.

I can see Bortles starting once they come back from the west coast, so Week 5 against the Steelers.

We can only hope that Bortles is ready to start early in the season.

I think you guys are making a big deal out of scrimmage that didnt mean that much. Can we give it one preseason game before we start crying?

Again, this is merely a scrimmage where a lot of players are going 75% at most.  Also, the defense knows what is coming, especially if there is an audible.

 

Also, what do you want?  An offense that can move the ball on EVERY play, or a defense that can stop an offense on EVERY play?

 

A better gauge will be next week when they go full speed against an actual opponent.

I pretty sure Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and the other top QBs, look to put it in the end zone every chance they get in a scrimmage and wont settle for less and get PO'd when they dont.  They probably put it in the end zone a dozen times more than, what, 2 tds for the Jaguars tonight.

You're overanalyzing it. We just saw Henne being exactly the same as he's always been, terrible.

 

Is it more likely that it was the defense being awesome, everyone going "75%", or Henne simply being terrible?

I can accept 5 wins as long as we're not losing by 24 in the 1st half --- Last year (games 1 thru 8) were crazy bad.
