not bad. I think both him and Henne had a few receivers drop passes on them as well. He also drew that pass interference with that deep ball.

That's something Jacksonville has been missing for a long time. A QB willing to throw the deep ball. I saw that from Blake a few times tonight.

All in all I enjoyed myself tonight. I really think our defense has a chance to be a top 10 unit if our pass rushers are able to get home. The offense on the other hand has a long way to go. But I understand we were without most of our WRs and our starting RB. Hopefully we'll get those WRs back healthy and our O-Line continues to gel as a unit.

This was like 2 hand touch football.

So Bortles played well against the #2 defense of 2 hand touch.  Lets just relax before we proclaim him the starter.

 

I look at the Henne Situation as kind of a glass half full. He is missing his 3 best Wr's. Is it possible the Jaguars defense is actually good and because of the lack of weapons on the field it was hard to move the ball?

Henne is an empty glass. The dude is undersized and has been getting his throws batted down at the line since his days in Miami. He's not going to win any games on his arm, throwing as many TDs as he does INTs, notoriously. He's average with a side of maybe could-of-been on his best day. If things aren't working around him and players aren't 'going off' (i.e. Blackmon in the tin horns game) than he's just another backup. I do think Henne is scrappy and a smart player, but Borltes was drafted to take Henne's job and from all accounts at the scrimmage its happening sooner than 2015.

 

I think Bortles size and natural ability in the pocket will have him surpass Henne as soon week 1 and for sure before London.
