Henne looked like a backup QB. Made the short underneath stuff that ends up in punts. Bortles looked like a rookie QB with potential. Moved the ball down the field with some nice passes and throws for TDs in the red zone. Henne should probably start the season but put Blake in after a few games so that he's ready to make things happen in 2015.

Henne should def start the season until the O Line figures things out. Henne is Meat Shield

Quote:Again, what do you want? An offense that can move the ball on ANY defense or a defense that can stop ANY offense? It was just a practice for crying out loud.
Again, stopping Henne doesn't equate to them stopping any offense. It's always just practice until it's the season and it's the same ol Henne. Can't wait for week 5

Not a surprise. I did not hear. Anything specific?

Did you see the scrimmage? Henne was his normal self, which means the defense will need to do the scoring.

I'm really not surprised our offense had problems against our defense. We should be one of the better defenses in the league. We know what we have in Henne and throwing to these new and inexperienced WR's doesn't help anything.

Bortles will start week 1. Gus showed with Russel the best man will play. Bortles will win the competition. All the media talk is just that, talk.

Yep.
But some folks are afraid.
Bortles is better. Start him.

Ever see his posts? Like every post of his?
Obvious trolling is obvious.

I have to admit, I expected a QB controversy this season, but I didn't expect it to start before the first preseason game. Bortles is putting in work, and he's getting his footwork down. He gets that down pat and doesn't revert to old habits in the preseason and I think there's really no reason at that point in sitting him.

are they ever gonna put up highlights?

Reading this thread makes me wonder if people were watching some other game. Although the defense is ahead of the offense and will likely be the stronger unit, the offense was hardly inept. Speaking as someone who attended the scrimmage, I can tell you they moved the ball at times and would have scored more times had plays not been whistled dead while in progress. There were some dowfield passes. Bortles looked better than expected and runners got into the secondary on several occasions.
Relax and step away from the ledge of the Modis building. The rebuild is well underway but still in progress.

While I agree with the premise of your post, Gus had nothing to do with Russell Wilson starting as a rookie. He was the defensive coordinator.

Let's be realistic here. We had the #3 pick in the draft for a reason. We have some legit rookies and brought in some good vets on the O and D lines. It is going to take a while for things to come together. They've been in training camp for a week.

Did Lee play? How did he do?
