Quote:The main points that need to be taken away from this whole Sam situation is.
Micheal Sam has a right to allow cameras to film him during the draft selection process and kiss his boyfriend when selected.
He also has a right to agree to the allow Oprah and her network film him during his attempt to make a NFL team.
No matter how "wrong" we think it is, he also has the right to take any endorsement deals that comes him under whatever pretense they are given.
If he chooses to bring his boyfriend to team functions where spouses/wives are allowed ,he has that right as well.
If a reporter keeps sticking a mic in front of him, he has a right to say whatever he wants to say. If he wants to say something in regards to representing the GLBT community, or playing football, or even both he has that right. He can also choose to not say anything as well.
With that said on the other side.
People have a right to oppose and voice their opinions to certain lifestyles that they are not comfortable with.
Parents have the right to raise their children how they see fit. If they do not want their children exposed to certain lifestyles that they feel will cause confusion, they have that right to raise their child, or children to their beliefs.
People have a right to say they will not support a belief or lifestyle that they are against, nor should they be forced to accept it.
People can raise their children any way they see fit. But they way I decide to raise my child should have no control over how you live your life.
A few years ago there was a video with two girls doing a pretty disturbing thing. Most people were disgusted by it, a few were turned on by it.
Should all who didn't like the display be labeled bigots and be punished for not embracing their 'fetish'?

What?
What in the world are you talking about? And how does this pertain to the discussion at hand?

His point is a good one if you choose to understand what he's trying to convey.
I'm pretty sure that a normally accepted form of a public display of affection, i.e. a kiss between two people in love, is really not the same thing as a fetish.

His point is lost if he's not clear as to what he's talking about - or if he's trying to draw incorrect comparisons.

Nobody has to 'like' a relationship that 2 other people are in. Nobody has to 'like' another person's fetish. But if who other people love and what other people do in their bedrooms in private causes someone major negative reaction, then they're probably somewhat of a bigot and have insecurities.
Quote: normally accepted
This is where you go off the tracks. Sorry, but it is anything but 'normal'.
A person was once asked "What is the definition of pornography?" The answer? 'I know it when I see it'. You cannot tell me what I think is normal.

No, he can't.
He
can however tell you what is
normally accepted. That's something that is easily defined.

I'm guessing he means tgoc which was a shock fetish video used to troll people back in the aughts.
He's only proving the idiocy of his own argument by bringing it up and comparing it to a bunch of bigots getting their panties in a bunch over a man kissing another man on TV.

lol...."bigots"
Had it just been a simple kiss like everyone else, I don't think much would have been said.
But as usual, for effect they must make everything into a grand production, with stretching the moment out forever (all contrived of course), .....and then the horribad cake thing....

The gay mafia are out to get you. Hide your kids.

50-100 years ago the same thing would have been said about a kiss between two men.

Or a kiss between a white woman and a black man.

This is a good point and kind of shows overtime, people will change their views. Typically with time people gain knowledge and understanding. With 19 states now allowing gay marriage that is happening before our eyes.

Yep, only a few more steps away from polygamy or whatever else we want to become legal.

Dang consenting adults and their rights.
