Okay, got it.
He can do whatever he wants. It honestly doesn't bug me, at all. What bugs me is the fanfare.
By the way, are you capable of contributing anything worthwhile to discussions, or do you just pop in every so often to let people know you haven't faded into obscurity along with (thankfully for you, I'm sure) all your pro-Gabbert posts?

Say what you mean, mean what you say.
I said similar in a thread about Manziel. How much of his or any players life should be about football?
He is going to practice for a few hours, watch film for a few hours, lift weights for a few hours. Football players, especially non-QBs have free time, probably more than you or I.
Some of them have families and kids, some of them have businesses, some of them appear in terrible commercials, some of them go drink driving and some go round making as many strippers in as many different states as possible pregnant. None of these activities help with being a pro football player some of them are probably pretty harmful, getting up 5 times a night for a screaming baby for one.
Being 'all about football' does not mean shunning life.

My god, I'm not understanding the uproar. He's gay, he plays football and he is doing a reality show... so what? I'm not sure why the people who don't care care so much.
Also, in regards to gay mafia pushing their agenda. It's pretty much like every other group ever created. There will always be a certain section of that group who pushes their agenda to the max. We have a Jaguars message board and some members do the same thing (TMD?). There is a segment of the Christian base that does the same thing. Democrats and republicans, same thing. It's human nature. And there are many gay advocates who don't push the agenda mafia style.

What bugs you isn't the fanfare, it's who the fanfare is for. That's why there's so much discussion here about a guy playing for another team getting a show about him on a network I'm thinking no one here watches.
As for my posts, I find it worth my while to post them, and that's quite enough for my satisfaction.

That sucks I like Sam and support his orientation and I'm sure he'll get a lot of undeserved hate from homophobes but I feel likes he's doing this all wrong. He needs to make this about football and nothing else.

If it was about his football it would be short-lived and soon forgotten, and that's no way to make the $$$.

They'll be too scared to release her now, and with the talent that team has there is no way she makes the roster. They'll stash her on the practice squad for a year, and when no one is looking she'll quietly be released.
That's when michelle sam really gets going, holds a press conference, demands equality. No team will touch that drama queen with a 10' tebow pass into the dirt and she will file a lawsuit looking for that big payday like she's been planning since last summer.

So let's fantasize and say she makes the field one day, and some meanie says something that hurts her feelings. What should the punishment be? Fine? Ejection? Suspension? Banishment?

Apparently Sam is not only the first openly gay player in the NFL...he's also the first female player too.

Just think, this Michelle Sam is more of a man than you will ever be in just about every conceivable way.

I didn't say you did. I was giving my opinion on what 'all about football' really means. He used a figure of speech that just about every football player with off field issues going on will parrot, he didn't say he will turn off every non-football related part of his life. That would be a stupid and unhealthy thing for anyone to try and do.

Have they said why they aren't doing the show now? Wonder if it was going to be a show about him NOT getting drafted and the effects of it and that's why it was canned?
