Coming back from what? A career of average or below?

I know the reason for retaining the Pick Six, Ball Batting and "veteran" QB, however....
I really wish they made a clean break and would let someone take their lumps. We aren't in a position like Green Bay when they picked up Aaron Rodgers. We have languished at the position for almost a decade now. The position has been ignored. Every time we have seem a smidgen of positive play at the position, it has been followed by crushing mind boggling play.
Let's believe that he plays at his Henne peak, how many wins or what does that look like? A game manager, plodding, field goal machine offense?
I have a sinking feeling that this team is 2 to 3 more drafts away from regular competition. For this season to be real productive, we are going to need a diamond in the rough type scenario. Don't see Henne being that puzzle piece.

I needed a good laugh. Thanks.
To paraphrase: When a foolish man hears of the truth, he laughs out loud at the very idea. If it were not for that laugh, it would not be the truth.

So, that's a no on the impartiality.

Numbers maybe Henne is better but Garrard seemed to do more. We actually won games. Garrard even helped us win the 2007 Playoff game against the Steelers.

Henne is not better than Garrard.

And that help Garrard gave us in the Steelers game was required because he'd had a lousy game up to that point. And the help he gave was actually help given by the refs for not calling holding on the play to begin with. Garrard had a much better outing statistically the following week, and the Jags lost.

You're right. Garrard was Nick Foles elite.

Yes.
Perfect comparison, actually.

You do understand that means your admitting the elite tag you tried to hoist on Garrard was laughable, right?

Already commented on that in the other thread.
Garrard had an elite season in 2007 that proved out to be a fluke.
I have zero doubt the same will happen with Foles'. Foles is nowhere near as good as his fluky numbers in 2013 suggested.

Garrard had average stats except for a couple of items. It wasn't elite to anyone but you. If he had an elite season, what Foles did last year was equally elite. But, as is usually the case, you're straddling that fence. Popsicle!

Garrard in 2007 had elite: QB rating/ YPA/ completion %/ TD: INT ratio/ 3rd down %.
Thats 5 categories.

The numbers all say Garrard was better.
Better ratings, better W/L record, better stats.
Someone could say "YEAH, BUT HENNE HAS BEEN PLAYING WITH A BAD TEAM AND GARRARD HAD TAYLOR AND MJD," and while that's true it doesn't mean Henne is better than Garrard, it only means Garrard was good enough to be what he was with that team and Henne has never been that good in his career.

Not elite if you look at the overall standards, but keep spinning.

People think Henne is better then Garrard? LOL!
