No thanks on Bridgewater at this point.  Geno Smith 2.0.

 

You are usually pretty good, but you are slipping on this one.  Where are Manziel, Zack Martin, Kony Ealy?  Manziel might slip to the bottom of round 1 (I think the Browns wait and take him at #26), but Ealy and Martin are sure-fire round 1 picks.  I highly doubt Dennard falls past the Steelers at #15.  Look for DE Demarcus Lawrence to be taken in the 1st.   Could go as high as #18 to the Jets, depending on if the CB's and Ebron are gone.  Marquis Lee is probably going to drop below Cooks and Beckham.  Look for Hageman, Moses and Robinson to go in the top of the 2nd, not the first.

Yeah, you are right, I didn't really over think this one. I even doubled a prospect. The next one will be better. Manziel in the 2nd was intentional however. This was just a possible scenario mock draft. But, yeah Ealy and Martin need to be in the 1st.

You addressed FS (nice) and Ward would make the back field scary. With the depth we have on the D-line I would take a FS with that second round pick. 

 

I like this mock also because you addressed need as well with great picks that realistically could be there. I like Niklas if Amaro isn't there. IMO.

 

This is probably one of my favorites mocks for the Jags. With that trade back i would add another 4th round pick. If we land that extra 4th who would you pick??

Dion Bailey over Ward IMO.

If theres no QB Caldwell wants and the Lions come calling for Sammy Watkins, if we get fair value I think we should trade back. 

 

If Lions give up their 1 + 2 + 3  I dont think we could turn that down. Although I doubt they would give up that much.

Lots of dreaming right here, unfortunately. Very good chance that Bodine and Richburg are both gone before we are on the clock at 39...and I think it would be a little surprising if Norwood makes it to day 3 at this point as well. 

Trade 2nd round and other picks to get to 29 to draft weak arm Bridgewater.  That's dumb.

I know many people are going to not like this class because nobody likes Barr because he only has one move but i think he will be an absolute beast in a year or two. Ward with Cyprien would solidify the back end of the secondary for a long time and have a true free roaming safety when Cyp is up in the box. Yankey is a top 3 guard in this years draft class and with the pairing of Swanson would make our new O-Line young,athletic and talented. Seastrunk would be compliment that Gerhart needs and would provide an interesting duo and possibly trio(Denard) out of the backfield. Maybe my favorite player in this years class is Jordan Zumwalt,he hits like a truck and is a passionate leader full of energy. Boyd to me will be our backup QB next year and the 3rd spot will be between an UDFA and Matt Scott. Boyd possibly can become a starting level QB due to his arm strength and his mobility but he has to improve his accuracy. Aaron Colvin is a guy i picked due to his ability when he is healthy and i doubt he would be here if it wasnt because he recently tore his ACL and with our DB depth he would be a redshirt candidate. Norwood is a guy who is not great or flashy but he just gets the job done and with Shorts having one spot locked up and sanders having the slot locked up the hope is that mike brown could be the 4th guy and i think Norwood would be a solid guy to have with Brown for WR depth. Hopkins played well against Alabama in the opener even though they were not the same Alabama O-line that we have been accustomed to,also played well against UCLA and Miami.Now with Lyerla he is the wildcard pick, everybody knows that he is extremely athletic and has day 2 talent but the character problems are obviously a concern. I personally love this draft and think it is very plausible, i think it covers 4 major needs and provides youth and athleticism to the team. Hope you enjoyed the read!
