1. Houston Texans
(2-14) - Jadeveon Clowney DE

Houston is going to do it. And it makes me sad. Having Clowney and Watt for the next several years will probably make the best DE tandem in the history of the NFL. I feel the Texans aren't going to reach on a QB, I think O'Brien will be content with Bortles, Carr, Garrapollo, or Smith in later rounds. Clowney is the best prospect in the draft by a mile.

2. St. Louis Rams
(Skins 3-13) - Jake Matthews LT

I have a feeling no one will buy into what the Rams are selling. The trend of trading up a fortune for a QB is slowly coming to an end with all of the recent success of QB's in the NFL that went beyond round 1. The Rams will be happy with Matthews, they've needed a LT since 2 years Orlando Pace retired.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars
(4-12) - Teddy Bridgewater QB

Jags get great value for Bridgewater. He becomes the franchise QB we've all been seeking.

4. Cleveland Browns
(4-12) - Johnny Manziel QB

5. Oakland Raiders
(4-12) - Anthony Barr OLB

6. Atlanta Falcons
(4-12) - Greg Robinson OT

7. Tampa Bay Buccs
(4-12) - Cameron Erving OT

8. Minnesota Vikings
(5-10-1) - Blake Bortles QB

9. Buffalo Bills
(6-10) - Sammy Watkins WR

10. Detroit Lions
(6-10) - Cyrus Kouandjio OT

I really like this scenario. Hoping we land a DE in FA like Orakpo or Hardy would make this even better. I would like a LB or RB next with our two 4th rounders. Like Telvin Smith-LB and Jeremy Hill-RB with them 4th rounders.

I think the falcons need a DE/Pass rusher pretty bad over a OT, and the raiders go WR if not QB in the first.
Following mock is assuming Teddy is off the board and we get a decent guard in FA. Even if Clowney is still available I would have the draft go like this.

1.) Bortles (QB)

2.) Beasley/Attaochu (LEO)

3.) Easley ( DT hope he falls due to ACL injury)

4.) Bryan Stork (Center)

4.) D'Anthony Thomas (RB)

Easley came back at fall strength even after an ACL injury to his other knee so I have no doubts he will be able to recover again. ACL injuries are totally random so I dont really label him an injury risk.

1.) Bortles (QB)
No way we go Bortles over Clowney
Just for the Jags, assuming, Clowney and Teddy are the first two picks.

1. Blake Bortles QB: UCF

2. Kyle Van Noy OLB: BYU

3. EJ Gaines CB: Missouri

4. Donte Moncrief WR: Ole Miss

4. Marion Grice HB: Arizona State

5. Gabe Ikard C: Oklahoma

5. Robert Herron WR: Wyoming

5. Denicos Allen OLB: Michigan State

6. Brandon Thomas OG: Clemson

7. AC Leonard TE: Tennessee State
Latest mock draft from Optimum Scouting:

Says who? There are rumors that the Texans might take Bortles over Clowney AND Teddy. Not an absurd theory.

Yeah there is no way that happens. I mean, I hope it does. Maybe the Texans FO will do it. But, the Jags FO and Caldwell? No way he would take Bortles over Clowney.
1. *TRADE* Cleveland Browns (4-14) - Johnny Manziel QB

I think from now till the draft the Texans will try to increase the value of their #1 pick. I believe the Texans will create a scenario with the Browns of "Either we take Manziel or you trade us your picks." Lombardi being the terrible GM that he is, will trade away the farm for Manziel.

2. *TRADE* Atlanta Falcons (Skins 3-13) - Jadeveon Clowney DE

Dimitiroff is not afraid of trading up for players he wants. It worked well with Julio Jones, and I see no reason as to why he wouldn't trade up for Clowney. The Falcons are in great need of a pass rush. Clowney's stock is going to skyrocket come his combine and pro day. It'll definitely be hard for the Texans to pass up on him.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-12) - Teddy Bridgewater QB

Jags get great value for Bridgewater. He becomes the franchise QB we've all been seeking. Now, It will be up to Caldwell to build a exceptional cast around Teddy.

4. Houston Texans

(4-12) - Blake Bortles QB

Houston ends up getting the guy they like the most and a host of picks to accompany him.

5. Oakland Raiders (4-12) - Greg Robinson OT

6. St. Louis Rams
(4-12) - Sammy Watkins WR

7. Tampa Bay Buccs (4-12) - Jake Matthews OT

8. Minnesota Vikings (5-10-1) - Anthony Barr OLB

9. Buffalo Bills (6-10) - Mike Evans WR

10. Detroit Lions (6-10) - Cameron Irving OT

*Jaguars 2 MAIN FREE AGENT SIGNINGS:

C Alex Mack Browns I have a feeling he will want out of Cleveland. the Jags will offer him a big contract. No way does Caldwell want his top QB draft pick getting center exchanges from a Rookie.

DT Clinton McDonald Seahawks will be a great option for Roy Millers exit. McDonald is definitely a huge upgrade over Miller. Knows Bradleys system well.

Jaguars Mock

1st Round Teddy Bridgewater QB - Awesome.

2nd Round Austin Sefarian-Jenkins TE - Will provide an excellent threat for Teddy

3rd Round Kyle Vannoy OLB - Grew up with him. Really nice dude. I believe his draft stock will fall though and we get lucky.

4th Round Lache Seastrunk HB

4th Round Chris Watt OG

5th Round Jeff Janis WR

5th Round Jaylen Watkins CB

5th Round DeDe Lattimore

I said in another post earlier today that I really hope the Browns trade to #1 for Manziel and the Falcons trade to #2 for Clowney. I really do not like the idea of Clowney and Watt on the same team.

I will say that from just the little bit of highlights that I have seen of Garoppolo he seems really good. I wouldn't be against us picking Watkins #3 and Garoppolo in the 2nd. I like Shorts but he has yet to complete a season, & Blackmon is so iffy. I have little to no College football knowledge, I pretty much just go off my gut feelings, I defer to the "experts" for the facts (if there is such a thing).

Great mock keep up the good work.
I actually think that the Falcons trading up is very highly unlikely. Dimitroff knows how depleted the roster is right now, and he also knows that there will be other stud pass rushers available like Mack and Barr when they are on the clock with their original pick. Giving what it will take to move up to get Clowney when there are other awesome pass rush prospects on the board still is silly.

But....that doesn't line up with what I want....

Agreed. Maybe if their O-line was in good shape, but they need to focus on protecting Ryan rather than squandering picks for a DE. Even then, the rest of their D is fairly weak.

And most of that depleted roster might even be a product of that Julio Jones trade. I see your point.
On a totally different subject, does anyone know what happened to vagrantwade? I don't see him posting anymore.
