WHY AREN'T THE RAIDERS AMAZING?!?! THEY HAD JAMARCUS RUSSELL. THEY HAD A #1 DRAFT PICK AT THIER DISPOSAL!!!!!!!
You have to be good at the game of football to be taken #1 in the draft. Jamarcus Russell didn't fail because he wasn't good at football. He failed because he was immature and didn't care.

You can make the same argument for Trent Richardson. He was still good enough to go #3 in the 2012 draft. I'd rather have a #3 pick on my team then an undrafted rookie, right? Probably.

Are you going to nitpickmy post  because you can't find a argument that you'll actually win? Andrew Luck is average at best. Get used to it.
There are some posters on this board that would retain more credibility if they would stop with the jealous dislike of the Colts and would instead concentrate on the shortcomings of their own team. Being envious of the Colts, isn't going to make the Jaguars any better.

There are some people on this board who are just bitter. We can all have different opinions on NFL football. But to not call Luck a first rate franchise QB really discredits any notion of objectivity.

The OP that started this thread: epic fail.

BABY RUTH!  BABY RUTH!!! HUT HUT!

Quote:Are you going to make a counter argument or just call me uninformed?

Sure. I'll break every single thing you said down.

TY Hilton is a great contemporary WR. I don't think he's a #1 WR right now, in the future? Maybe. Right now, I don't think so. He's having to be the #1 WR right now though without Reggie.

2 WRs that he's been playing with since college? One of those being a undrafted free agent! GASP! I thought you'd rather have a top pick 3 pick like Trent Richardson rather than a undrafted free agent! How can on undrafted free agent do anything in the NFL!?!?

A top 10 tight end? Uhh... No. I don't think Fleener is close to a top 10 TE. He's close to middle of the road TE right now IMO. I think Dwayne Allen is much better and he's on IR. Fleener has improved a ton this year, but still has his problems. Could he be top 10 in the future? Possibly, but I honestly look for Allen to make a bigger noise in this league.

Donald Brown? The guy that was considered an ultimate Polian bust before this year? That Donald Brown? This year Brown has been a workhorse, but prior to this year EVERYONE considered him a bust.

Trent Richardson? I mean... really? Do I have to say anything here?

You're just incredibly misinformed. Either that or you just don't know anything about the Colts. Probably both.

He's putting up #1 receiver numbers at the moment. He's actually putting up better stats than Reggie Wayne through 5 games. He could and will be the Colts #1 for the future.

Where they were drafted, or not drafted, is irrelevant. He's had 5 years of experience with these guys. He's not a UDFA to Luck. Also, I think you misunderstood my post about the UDFAs and a top 3 pick. Go ahead and re-read.

Fleener is a very, very good tight end. He caught 52 passes this year.Any QB that has a Tight End that can catch passes like that should be playing much better than Andrew Luck. With a Tight end like Fleener, the field is spread wide open. Luck should be playing better. Period.

Donald Brown? The guy that was considered an ultimate Polian bust before this year? That Donald Brown? This year Brown has been a workhorse, but prior to this year EVERYONE considered him a bust.

Previous years mean nothing when we're talking about the present. Donald Brown has been a good back this season.

Trent Richardson? I mean... really? Do I have to say anything here?

Yes, really. He's a weapon. He sets the tone and makes opposing defenses respect the Colt's running game. He's consistently running into 6-7 man fronts.

You're just incredibly misinformed. Either that or you just don't know anything about the Colts. Probably both.

Neither. You're just biased. Very, very, biased.

Jealous dislike? Why would I be jealous of the Colts? LOL. Nobody is envious. You should be able to tell that nobody is envious when you can't even sell out a playoff game.

Luck is NOT a franchise QB yet. To be frank, his first year was quite mediocre. This year he has been average.

PS: Colts did sellout. The Colts have sold out 100+ straight home games. 3 of the 4 playoff games struggled to sellout. Playoff tickets are whole different ball game from regular season tickets, pal. Not that you would know.

And if you want to try and convince me the Packers have a lack of fan support, good luck with that.

Like I said, misinformed.

A corporation bought 2,000+ tickets. Why won't you respond to my post? And, I would know. I've been a ticket holder for 2 years, and my dad's been a holder since 2003.

The only one here that looks misinformed is you, and I'm not even a Colts fan.

I didn't respond to your post because it's pointless. I basically say "Trent is playing terrible right now" you say "Trent is a weapon!!!" you're just saying the opposite of what I say. What's the point.

A corporation bought 1,200 tickets. And the same happened with Packers, Bengals. And like I said, not that you would know about playoff tickets. Did I miss something? Within the last two years you've been a season ticket holder did the Jags make the playoffs?

No, you didn't respond because you know I'm right. There was 5 other points other than the Richardson part.

The Packers played in -30 degree weather, and the Bengals have always had ticket issues. There was no reason for a playoff game to have 7,000+ unsold tickets 3 days prior. The Jags averaged 60,000 this year while making the playoffs 2 times in the last 14 years. Are you kidding me? You can't sell out a playoff game?

No, the Jags haven't been to the playoffs since I've been a holder. But I do know how it works.
No, I didn't respond because all your points were the exact opposite of mine. "He's not as good as you think" .... "HE'S REALLY GOOD!!!"

I'll just say this last thing: If all the guys you're claiming to be great for the Colts were great, losing Reggie wouldn't have been as big of a deal as it was.

And the Colts sold-out every game in 2011 (losing 14 straight) and sold-out every game in 2012 coming off a 2-14 season in 2011. WITHOUT TARPS! Oh, and they sold out this playoff game. Since you keep saying we didn't, lol. And what does the weather have to do with GB? The weather is almost always treacherous in GB. This is an NFL issue, not a fan dedication issue, and if you think otherwise you're clueless.

So we can all have our own opinions on football except that we all need to agree that Luck isn't above average? No epic fail here. We all have our own views on things. It is kind of funny how Colts fans get so defensive over Andrew Luck like somehow being above average is a bad thing. When did this become an insult? I wish the Jags had an above average QB.

Luck shows skill and a ton of promise but he has room to grow before I go calling him the greatest thing since sliced bread. Luck himself would probably laugh at someone calling him elite already. He has all the tools and he'll probably get there but I'm not the NFL Network or ESPN so I'm not going to drool on his cleats right yet. How many picks did he have in that last game?

I don't think any Colts fan in this thread called Andrew Luck elite right now?
Quote:I don't think any Colts fan in this thread called Andrew Luck elite right now?

Oh well nevermind then. I really Gene Smith'd that one.

But from Colts fans in general online I read it all the time. They are so defensive if he isn't being hailed as elite.

Then why are you arguing?

Wouldn't that put him in the "above average" category?

So there's above average then the next step is elite?

Interesting.
Quote:So there's above average then the next step is elite?

Interesting.

So you think he's "very good"? "Great"? "Spectacular"?

... so, again, if you aren't arguing that he's elite, is it really worth arguing over the difference between "above average" and "very good"?

You think he's elite, don't you?

Nope I don't.

I've stated it many times in this thread I don't think he is... yet.

"Elite" IMO has 4 names on the list: Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees. If you're adding anymore than 5 players to an "elite" list, then really how important is the word elite?
Ok cw to save all this arguing which NFL qbs do you think have been better than luck this season?
Do you guys consider Eli Manning elite?
