Quote:You do realise that Curtis painter is not a starting calibre qb though surely? You won like 2/5 with orlovsky who isn't starting calibre either.

You know your record was distorted by the incredibly bad qb play much like Kansas city was last year.or are you going to credit Alex Smith in a similar manner?

So QB is the most important position, right?

I mean, the Colts defense can't suck, have an incompetent coaching staff/front office, & have an average QB and get to 11-5 wins and the divisional round of the playoffs. So tell me what it is then, lastonealive?
Coaching staff is an upgrade from Caldwell and Co, and to be truthful, TY Hilton had his coming out party this year.  The Colts defense also overperformed, with Mathis having a career year.  Luck was decidedly average this year, and the stats bear that out.

You can when your team is reliant on previous regime star players. Get a decent qb first overall and play in the easiest div in football

Who? Outside of Robert Mathis, who did we rely on this year? Remember Reggie didn't even play half the season.
I've answered that a million times. We are going round in circles. I acknowledge Hilton is awesome.

See you later in the year

Lol. The answer is there is no one else. Robert Mathis is the only one from last year.

So Robert Mathis got us 11 wins? Gotcha. That has be the best OLB to ever play in the NFL if he single handedly won 11 games for us.

Seeing as you can't let it be.. Reggie Wayne counts and so does Bethea. Those and TY Hilton are probably your top players.

Outside of your 6 easy division wins you went 5 - 5 which is really the sort of level your team is - average.

Probably should have been 4-6 except for that bizarre decision against seattle when they scored a TD but was called a Safety (pretty much the same play as the reason you won against KC)
OK, so Reggie Wayne who played 7 games and Robert Mathis got us 11 wins. Also, Bethea has been average this year. It would not surprise most Colts fans if he was not re-signed. I would like for him to be re-signed, but I've got a feeling he's not going to be. You also do realize TY is part of  the "new regime"?

We went 6-0 in our division. What else were we supposed to do against a terrible division? That's what you're asked to do within the division, and I've always said (I think you even agreed once) division games are ALWAYS the hardest games. For everyone in the NFL.

Also, I find it pretty hilarious you're still trying to go with the Colts got lucky narrative. Keep that one up, that definitely looks like you're not bitter at all  Laughing

He just refuses to admit that Luck was the common thread throughout the entire 12 win season. 11 + 1 playoff.

Are you saying they didn't contribute to ANY wins?

I'm interest in how you think a 19.5-sack defender isn't, almost, responsible for at least a couple of those games.
Obviously luck was part of those wins. He's far better than any qb in the AFC south. Indy benefitted from the worst division in football.

Sounds like Tebow talk

If you compare Tebow and Luck, there is just no hope for you.

Err..where did I do that?
Anyway I'm trying to leave this thread if you will let me.

My challenge to all you luck just wins/is great.

Name me 1 individual stat that backs this up which is not a team stat.

Mathis - 19.5 sacks is an individual stat to show he's one of the best players in the NFL.. What is Lucks?

Oh my. Never did I ever say that.

Of course Mathis was HUGE part of our success, but it's impossible for a defensive player to will your team to 11 wins... IMPOSSIBLE - something lastonealive claims he has done.
No..I'm just saying your best players are still old regime guys.

I'm not saying you don't have other solid players.

Luck didn't just carry a team on his back or it would show in the stats

errr in the post I quoted.  What were you trying to imply?

And I guess Russell Wilson is just a game manager, right? What's his stat?

How about 8 4th qtr comebacks and 11 game winning drives in two seasons.  Let me guess...those don't

 count?
