I mean yeah, you can put SOME blame on coaching for not getting this team prepared in a matter where they're competitive, but on the other side of that aspect, its kinda hard to polish a turd..

^^^^ Exactly!! A turd is a turd. No matter how you shape it or spray colon on it. It still stinks.

An nfl team shouldn't be losing by 32 pts. Ever.

Seriously guys...go back an look at all of the Jaguars drafts from like 2005 til now. Every single one is completely deplorable. 2008 and 2009 have zero players left from them. 2010 has only Alualu. 2011 has Blaine, Rackley, Prosinski (LOL at those 3) and Shorts. You can't go 7-8 draft and have a total of single digit starting caliber players. We could have friggin Lombardi himself coaching our team and we would be vying for 0-16.

I agree, but what do you want them to do? Pull talent out their butts? You can only access new talent through the draft. We have no leverage to trade for existing players and they stepped into a big pile of turd. What do you want them to do???
It's the equivalent of being entered into the Daytona 500 and being given a tricycle to compete.  He has no talent in this roster.  I don't blame Bradley.  I do blame Caldwell.

Proper planning prevents poor performance.

We would have still lost, but better coaching COULD have led to less mistakes, and a lower deficit.

We don't have enough talent to win many games, this is true, but being in the NFL means you're more athletic than most people, and there should never be a blowout akin to a top 5 BCS team playing Appalachian State
No one can help this team right now,so it's unfair to judge him

I don't think this team is eating a complete balanced breakfast.

I disagree completely. Planning does not prevent poor performance. Planning can negate some missed assignments and players being out of place. But talent prevent poor performance. SF is way more talented than us. It showed in the final outcome. The players are the ones that determine the outcome and we have no talent on our roster (minus a few obvious names). If you want to blame anyone, blame the previous regimes for setting up our team for failure. Like I've said before, our starters are 3s and 4s on other teams. No talent equals the season we are experiencing. This goes back to last year and the year before. It's up to Caldwell to fix this through the draft and FA.

Fire Gene Smith! oh wait..
Look this is the old chicken and egg hair splitting discussion. Is the team bad which makes the coach incapable of doing his job?

Or is the Coach bad which makes a bad team look completely incompetent?

I choose the latter.

It's a bad team. But it's not made better by the Staff.

When you have to scratch your head to remember a worse team, EVER IN NFL HISTORY, Then believe me it's not just bad players and

bad draft classes.

It's a combination of both bad coaching and bad players.

There is no way to break the record of worst team of all time unless you have ineptness everywhere.

That includes the coaching staff.

I'm not advocating firing Bradley this season, but he is certainly open to criticism. Over 50% of this roster is new, and those who remain from last year's 2-win season are on the roster with Gus and Dave's blessing.

I can understand that viewpoint. But my question to you is, what were they supposed to do? Throw everyone away and then just forfeit the season? They have to have 53 players. If there is no better player to take the spot of the other, shouldn't they keep what they have and try? The draft is what we will be replacing some with, but with only 7-10 picks, that is 7-10 players. We have a long way to go.

Wins and losses are decided by talent.

Losing by 32 pts rests on coaching as well as talent.

I expected us to lose this game, but I didn't expect to get embarrassed.

And about 50% of this roster is pretty much outcasts from other teams via the waiver wire..

Which still makes this team a turd..

But I still love em..
The staff is completely safe.

And if by some stretch you got your wish and they swept them out again, who do you think is heading here next? To the team that fires the coaches every year when they don't win immediately with the least talent stocked roster in the league? You think you're bringing in whatever favorite coach you have in mind? No. Nobody with a brain is coming here at that point.

Sorry, but you have to give them time to try and fix it. It's going to just be an ugly ride.
