Quote:What concerns me most is seeing players not only getting dominated physically, but how ridiculous they look when failing to shed blocks and make basic plays like tackling.
No one players other than Mojo, Shorts, and Blackmon are showing any ability to play at a high level. I will say this substitution O-line is somehow playing better as a unit than the starters.
Alualu is pathetic. Marcedes Lewis is grossly over-payed. Too many bums on this roster. Would have rather cut/traded Alualu and Lewis in favor of keeping Greg Jones.
I agree. Getting rid of Greg Jones was pathetically stupid if the idea was to build some confidence and momentum for this offense. He led the way for MJD to lead the league in rushing, which would have taken an extreme amount of pressure off the passing game. Which would have eased the burden on the OL to pass protect. All for the price of a fullback!

No no we can use Tafututu or whatever the heck his name is, and hey Geno Hayes he can replace Daryl Smith! And Roy Miller is better then Knighton, Gratz and Cox, EVERY FREAKING MOVE this team made in the offseason has regressed to WORSE then last years 2-14!!!!
Quote:Cool thread
It's all good man, it's the right direction bro, be positive!!!! wooooott #DTWD #STAND UNITED
He gets a pass until next year (job), He can be criticized on how the team plays but, He didn't assemble these crap players.....He didn't walk into a situation where he had Troy Aikman, Emmit Smith, and Micheal Irvin in their prime.
He didn't walk into a situation where he had Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, and Deion Sanders on defense.
This is perhaps the WORST ROSTER in the history of the NFL ever put together.
The OWNER (He should truly be embarrassed subjecting everyone across the pond to his very bad football team) has to be committed to spending some money on the RIGHT FA's in the offseason, The GM has to draft the RIGHT Franchise QB in the draft.

I posted a thread last week questioning Gus and the entire team management about these very same decisions as well as questioning the coaching style, and I ended up being mercilessly ridiculed and laughed at.
We have the most gullible fanbase in the league.
Quote:Everybody has said it's too early to criticize Bradley, he is a first time coach, young players, players with injuries, little talent, etc. etc.
Half way through the season this team has not progressed one bit. No unit on the team shows any improvement. They're still making the same stupid mistakes as they did in the first game. That's coaching.
Gus Bradley...........................meh!
Regards....................the Chiefjag
Gus has been too quiet for too long. It's time for him to start showing some anger and some fire. The team will follow his lead. If Gus is complacent, so will the team be, If he's mad, the team will be too...Time to show some fire...Time to stop coddling the players and start taking away playing time for stupid penalties and poor play. I realize no one on the team is playing well, but bench some starters a couple games along with some butt chewing and see how much more effort gets put in...Chew out the coaching staff too,,,poor play calling, poor OL/DL/DB play et.al should earn the assistant coaches some chewing out too and horrible play calling should be addressed as well...

It's not only fair but anyone looking at this honestly has to say AT BEST this first season was a miss and hopefully we can turn it around next year. Sadly you could see this coming.
Just sucks I'm sick and tired of going backwards.
I understand the criticism of Gus, I feel it's not necessary, but if that trips your trigger then by all means go for it. Fans can be upset, it's a rough season. I will wait to critique Bradley after he gets a real roster to work with. By that I mean next season. By the end of year two, I think we will know. Probably sooner. I'm ready to welcome Teddy. With open arms. This team needs that building block of an elitely talented QB. We've never had that level of QB here. In the entire existence of the team, not one. We missed out on two good ones when we best the Colts two years ago, I don't want that to happen again. I accepted this season as a wash many weeks ago.
Again, I understand the emotions. It's just not for me. I think it's a tad of an overreaction. It's hard to judge any regime so soon when they inherit arguably the poorest assembled roster in the league. This team has drafted far too bad for arguably a decade to turn things around in 8 games. Should they be playing a little better? I say yes. However, I don't think it's a concern yet. Bradley may be in over his head, it's a possibility, I say it's too soon to know and make that decision.

That's fine if your taking the wait and see approach, I'm just tired of being told this is the right direction before the season even started.
Did he go from Do your Job to Hi I am the coach. Now pat the hand and say please play better.

Then ignore the coach/GM speak and form your own opinion. I think fans let things like that get to them a little much sometimes, myself included. I've modified my approach to looking at things. I'm definitely not saying your opinion is wrong but that it's too quick to say definitively one way or another.
A QB this team has any sort of confidence in will help leaps and bounds. Guys play harder for those levels of QBs. Everyone improves. No it won't solve nearly all the problems. Many pieces will be needed to be added but I'm fine with the approach taken thus far. Time will tell what is right or wrong.
If Gus Bradley was on any other team, this board would be talking about how bad he sucks.
Quote:I just don't understand the people that say that even at 0-16 Bradley gets a pass…huh?! It's 0-16…that is difficult to achieve. Well we're soon to be half way there and I think the coaching can't go uncriticized…look at how poorly our defense is matching up today.
I'm not worried about the record. I'm very worried about the team's general lack of discipline, unpreparedness, and lack of player development. That is all on coaching and they haven't earned a passing grade thus far.

I respect your viewpoint, but it still does not change the fact that Bradley is still the one solely responsible for the discipline of this team. If he wants to make the team "Better" he can start by erasing stupid penalties.
Let's see. Our QB's are Chad Henne/Blaine Gabbert aka the Dynamic Duo of suck, MJD is on his last legs, we have no pass rush, our #2 pick is out for the year, our roster has been gutted and inexperience flows through the veins of this roster.
No, it's all Gus.
Whatever flips your pancake, bro.
I understand how you are feeling, but do you really think it would help anything if the coach came out and said "This team sucks...I've never worked with a worse group of players before in my life and if it were possible, I would fire every last one of them before the plane ride home and wouldn't even let them ride with us back to Jacksonville!"
Do you think that they would start playing any better after that?

Wouldn't play any worse. That's for sho.
