I'm not entirely comfortable calling for the firing of a HC with only a half season and an organization in the gutter to work with, but I would like to see him coaching with a little more fire.  He needs to get nasty.

Quote:That's fine if your taking the wait and see approach, I'm just tired of being told this is the right direction before the season even started.

What should they say? Everyone is taking a wait and see approach. Some are actually waiting until the gm and hc get a few years. You don't build a winner overnight unless you get lucky (qb).
Quote:If Gus Bradley was on any other team, this board would be talking about how bad he sucks.

Fair point.
Quote:I understand how you are feeling, but do you really think it would help anything if the coach came out and said "This team sucks...I've never worked with a worse group of players before in my life and if it were possible, I would fire every last one of them before the plane ride home and wouldn't even let them ride with us back to Jacksonville!"

Do you think that they would start playing any better after that?

They wouldn't play any worse

Yeah they would.

No not everyone is saying that before this week it was the right direction anyone that objected was told otherwise
I think it is fair to criticize Bradley.

But I also have to give most of the blame to that joke of GM we had the past 4 seasons.  That guy should never be able to work in the NFL again.  He personally assembled the worst team in the history of the NFL.

Thank you Gene Smith.  I really appreciate what you left us.

All I know is this team is so bad that our opponents feel sorry for the jags, the 9rs could have scored 60pnts but you could see they had the game at 28-0.

Every game the  opponents pull the 1st string QB and RB and whom ever they feel needs a rest.

The jags have never even been close in the 4th.

It's not even fun to watch for opponent fans.

My Uncle is a 9r fan and was embarrassed for me today,

my other Uncle a Seahawk fan and felt sorry for me as a Jag fan when we played them.

We never trash talk it's always your jags will get better, we have no chance to even compete.

My Relatives pull for the Jags as their second favorite but the Jags are so bad it's hard for them or anyone to watch them play.

I don't know but it is truly the worst team in NFL history other than the Bucs expansion which shouldn't even count do to them being a true expansion team way back when.
Quote:Yeah they would.

They can play worse!?!? Oh lawd
Well the guy from Oregon. Does not seam to be the savior of the Nfl either.

Agreed Smith sucked but the general lack of discipline, preparedness, game planning, player development, etc is all on the coaches.  There is no way they have shown to be any better than Mularkey and his staff at this point.  I most definitely don't believe they are a Super Bowl caliber staff.

Bradley and the staff seem absolutely no different than Mularkey and his staff last year so far.
I'm not blaming this regime solely, I'm blaming this franchise as a whole. They've been trash and hasn't built a winner since the early 2000's. That's pathetic and everyone from Weaver to Khan and every man in between is to blame for this crap job.

It's been 8 games! 8 games on a roster depleted of talent and you're already evaluating if they are a Lombardi-worthy staff? Unreal. Unreal.

No one here knows what goes into the game planning. The coaches can game plan and teach you until they are blue in the face but once these rookies get out there it's a whole different ordeal. Especially when it's in London.

We don't know that this is the wrong direction. It's too soon to tell either way.
One time pass this year. if the Jags look like this next season, with a new 1st round NFL ready qb, then he's fired during the Bye week
Quote:Fair point.
Jus sayin.

You're making excuses for them.  I have coached 8 year olds to know their assignments and to not commit numerous stupid penalties.  Is it really too much to ask that of paid NFL professionals?  The lack of talent is one thing.  I expect our team to get beat way more than they'll win since they have no talent.  But to continually look clueless, see very little player development, to look clue less on defense because you aren't ready for the 49ers.  All of that stuff is on Bradley and his staff.  That's my point.
Quote:They wouldn't play any worse

Yes, they could. Believe it or not, they could.

But even if they couldn't...how do you think any player would ever play well for a coach that did that? You not only have to worry about the players on the team now, but whatever new players we get in the future.

Why would you want to handicap the coach like that just to make yourself feel better about what he says after a meaningless game?

He was so bad it almost makes you wonder if he was also on the payroll of another team at the time and was intentionally trying to tank us!!
