Quote:I understand the criticism of Gus, I feel it's not necessary, but if that trips your trigger then by all means go for it. Fans can be upset, it's a rough season. I will wait to critique Bradley after he gets a real roster to work with. By that I mean next season. By the end of year two, I think we will know. Probably sooner. I'm ready to welcome Teddy. With open arms. This team needs that building block of an elitely talented QB. We've never had that level of QB here. In the entire existence of the team, not one. We missed out on two good ones when we best the Colts two years ago, I don't want that to happen again. I accepted this season as a wash many weeks ago.
Again, I understand the emotions. It's just not for me. I think it's a tad of an overreaction. It's hard to judge any regime so soon when they inherit arguably the poorest assembled roster in the league. This team has drafted far too bad for arguably a decade to turn things around in 8 games. Should they be playing a little better? I say yes. However, I don't think it's a concern yet. Bradley may be in over his head, it's a possibility, I say it's too soon to know and make that decision.

I have to ask...everyone wants Bridgewater but who is he going to play behind...Henne? Gabbert? Or are we just going to toss him in there with our porous and putrid offensive line and let him get as messed up as Blaine?

We will have no choice at all but to start the rookie QB.

Odds are against us for that working out well.

Think about it though. If Henne stays around, would the fans really be OK with the rookie QB sitting the bench? There also isn't going to be a veteran QB worthy of starting ahead of the rookie available anywhere. It's not a good scenario, I agree.
Quote:No no we can use Tafututu or whatever the heck his name is, and hey Geno Hayes he can replace Daryl Smith! And Roy Miller is better then Knighton, Gratz and Cox, EVERY FREAKING MOVE this team made in the offseason has regressed to WORSE then last years 2-14!!!!
Knighton just drove RGIII into the dirt and he's not getting up.

Quote:Mularkey had a roster most would agree was worse than this one without MJD. Del Rio had a worse roster than that with a 20 year old raw Gabbert.

That's why Mularkey was a better HC than Gus is now.
If you take a 2-14 team over, add a draft, FA signing period, OTAs, and a training camp and still go 0-8 so far with most games being blowouts, then yeah......YOU made it worse.
To say that GB and DC are totally safe for the next 3 years no matter what happens is disingenous to the way production-based businesses, including the NFL, are run. Are GB/DC supporters really going to wait the full 3 years if we were to go 0-16 this year and start out 0-8 next year? I suspect some fanboys would be changing their stripes by then.
By all means, give people a chance to succeed. If, however, you come to believe that they are not the ones that will be capable to turn this thing around, then you must make the change regardless of how it will appear. Else, you are just wasting more years.
You do realize we have he worst o-line, d-line, QB, and a secondary full of rookies and waiver wire guys right?
When the talent gap is that huge of course youre going to be blown out. Even being competitive this year is unrealistic given the state of this roster.

Then you have to question Caldwell, cause we just traded away a top 10 LT, let our starting secondary walk, and didn't resign the best DT on our roster last year.
That said the errors in play calling and discipline give me concern about Bradly going forward.
Not and X's & O's coach. Rah rah motivational equals losing teams.
Quote:I posted a thread last week questioning Gus and the entire team management about these very same decisions as well as questioning the coaching style, and I ended up being mercilessly ridiculed and laughed at.
We have the most gullible fanbase in the league.
OK, I'll ridicule and laugh at you.
Hmm, Eric, Jagswilldestroyyou, JeremyNFL - or Gus Bradley. Man, that's a tough one. I'd have to think long and hard on that one.
Watch some games on tv and you're a coach now.
Never ending comedy.
Quote:At least Mularkey won 2 games with worse players. This is absolutely embarrassing. Khan should refund us all the money for season tickets. This is garbage, Thank god they are not showing the game on TV in the Orlando markets, still sounds bad on the radio. No defense, no offense. Might as well trade Blackmon now, no way he will stay around. No wonder he drinks himself to sleep, he has to put on a Jaguar uniform, at this point it would make me sick too.
Jeez, man up would you - you're embarrassing yourself.
It's a darn football team.
Boy, 0-8 sure brings out the drama queens.
Quote:He was so bad it almost makes you wonder if he was also on the payroll of another team at the time and was intentionally trying to tank us!!
Where was this all these years?!?
I've been skeptical of Gene Smith easily dating back to 2010 and questionable since trading that 2 for the 3 for Derek Cox. Everyone tried telling me I was crazy.

It's not as if Bridgewater will be the only selection. It's not as if there isn't free agency.

Who the hell said any of us are coaches? Do you have to be a chef to know when food's rotten. try again
Defensively this team commits too many personal fouls, misses too many tackles, bites on every play-action, and looks like they've never seen the option before.
Offensely this team keeps running for zero yards, throwing inaccurate passes, and dropping catchable passes.

That is the fault of the GM
Quote:That is the fault of the GM
The OLD GM...yes.
There was no way Caldwell was going to come in and fill every need-or even most- this team has in one offseason.

Below is a list of potential HC candidates that could have been sitting in Bradley's position and gotten us to 0-8 just like he did.
1. TMD
2. Jagswilldestroyyou
3. Me
4. My neighbor's dog, Skeeter
5. Any 4 year old from a local daycare center
6. A corpse dug up from a local cemetery
7. Adam2012
Most of the ones on this list would have worked for less pay, and with any luck might have actually made a game or two competitive, without even trying. The postgame press conferences would have been refreshing without having to hear GB repeat himself over and over in another of his losing speeches.
Quote:That is the fault of the GM
He tanked this year, Dave knows, Gus knows, shad knows. Its how you build a long term contender. Get a high pick, get a QB, youre set for 15 years.
And the idiots who are complaining about releasing dawan landy and derek cox need to get a clue. were trying to be good, not mediocre.

No one's asking him to, but creating more voids on a roster with already so many voids is an issue and it's something Caldwell willing did. We where told not to worry, these guys Caldwell brought in to replace Knighton, Smith, Cox, Ross, Mathis, Landry, Mosley, Jones, ect......couldn't possibly be worse then the 2-14 squad last year.
8 games in they look a whole another level of suck, Pass Rush worse then ever, Secondary just as bad as ever, Run defense worse then ever, Ground game worse then ever, Passing game worse then ever. Where the hell did we get better this offsesason?
Yea Gene Smith flamed out big time, what did Caldwell do to fix ANY of that?
