Quote:I never said it was the high point of my life, but I'm fairly certain voting for Hillary ranks up there pretty high for you.

I've already stated a couple times it is a low point for me. Can't think of any time I have voted for someone and felt worse about it. And you're not the one who called it the "proudest moment of your life" or one of the people who agreed with the sentiment.
Quote:Yup. I'm divorced. But so what? I was a kid when I got married. I no longer live alone as of last year and I'm already planning on getting engaged again (most likely around Xmas). Glad you think I'm sad and lonely though. Not everyone is like you..

NOO!!!  DON"T DO IT!!!

Just kidding man, good luck!

Trump now with a 37 point lead in the JMBP.

Thanks duder.. I think I've gone through maybe 20 chicks to get the one I can tolerate enough to consider it though.

She (kinda) cooks, looks great in a skirt and tolerates my crap.. winner winner burnt chicken dinner.

She's a good girl.. Which was outta my realm..

But..I did say maybe haha..
Quote:Pirkster, I was taught in American history class FDR created jobs with this law called "The New Deal" and other legislation. He created jobs right here in the United States with the help of Congress. The war had nothing to do with any of that. America joined the war in 1941, not FDR's first term, because of a terrorist attack at Pearl Harbor, Millions of more Americans got new jobs and the economy was back to where it should be before that happened. That is not misinformation. I can't believe you would credit the war for American getting out of the Great Depression.

Wrong.

Neither FDR nor The New Deal created jobs.  The Great Depression and the following recession in 1937 was reversed because of the war effort.

Only 20?  You must not be very picky.  You should probably test drive some others.

Finding one that tolerates our crap is HUGE!

^This.. That's the key to happiness. Not having to change Wink

Hell, I figured 20 was enough.. Some wanted to move too fast, some not fast enough, some were straight liars, some were just lookin for a meal ticket. Some didn't like football (which was a big deal breaker from the get go).

I scored pretty big 26 years ago.  She's a good cook, a good mother, likes football AND likes to go fishing.  On top of all that, she's put up with my [BLEEP] for this long.

So why was I taught in school the New Deal in 1935 was how jobs were created after the GD?

Because the public government school system has been broken in this country for decades.  I would suggest reading the link that I posted above regarding The New Deal along with checking out some of the footnotes.
Gary Johnson. He may not be the smartest guy, but he comes across as a decent person and I believe he really wants to help people. I certainly can't say that about the two major candidates.

The interesting thing for me is seeing people here that you agree with politically, but can't stand hearing from in the Jags forum, and vice versa. I assumed that fandom and ideaology would be more closely aligned. I wish TMD were here, because I'm sure his non-stop mouth would "speak volumes" as he would have put it. It would have been nice seeing his political opinions.

You really need to go back to school. America profitted greatly from both world wars, as other countries opened up lines of credit with us and purchased services, supplies, weapons, food, etc.

WW1 alone is credited for turning our country from a regional player to a global powerhouse.

I forgot it's all about skin color

LOL People can't stand me in any section, but this one is the worst because most other posters are conservative. I don't know if TMD would have wanted a politics section.
