White privilege knows no nationality apparently.
Quote:You really need to go back to school. America profited greatly from both world wars, as other countries opened up lines of credit with us and purchased services, supplies, weapons, food, etc.

WW1 alone is credited for turning our country from a regional player to a global powerhouse.

I did not say the war had nothing to do with people getting new jobs. The Great Depression ended six years before the war began. America joined the water two years later. How did the country get thousands more jobs, a big factor in ending the GD, between 1933 and 1941? The war could not have been related to that.

The New Deal actually prolonged the Great Depression.  It wasn't this democrat dream plan that magically fixed the economy.  It was just another government program that held it back longer than necessary, kind of like your Obama's stimulus packages that did little to fill those shovel ready jobs he talked about and later laughed off when he admitted they didn't exist.

WW2 fueled the recovery from the Great Depression and the economic boom that followed.

What I learned in school was the GD ended with the New Deal in 1933.

You learned wrong.

The end of WW2 marked the end of the Great Depression.  All the New Deal did was add mountains of debt.  The economy was still struggling to recover when WW2 started.  Once again, you were fed lies and just believed it without question.  Hillary thanks you.

Hillary has nothing to do with what I learned in school. I got this out of textbooks.

BTW I know the economy did not "fully recover" in 1933. That year, according to school textbooks and history teachers, marked the end of the worst economical period and was when economical recovery began. That is what every eighth and eleventh grade student learned in the 1990s.

Well, that's why she voted for Hillary, dontcha know?

She thanks you for believing what you read and not bothering to expand your knowledge.  Ignorance is democrat bliss.
Quote:You do realize Donald Trump lies a lot too, right? And that those lies have also been well-documented? I can't buy the argument about Hillary Clinton being a documented liar because it goes both ways.

It's so not the same. Trump has been caught by fact checkers misquoting insignificant facts, or else he's been caught denying something they claimed happened decades ago. With Hillary, it's one outright lie after another to the American people if not Congress itself regarding high-level, recent goings-on. I mean come on... she's destroying evidence in an obvious attempt to cover up major crime. There are some now thinking she could get the death penalty for high treason, and at the very least she'll certainly be impeached.

Clinton's lies and lousy leadership has cost this nation lives and treasure.  Trump's haven't.

I am not going to waste time arguing about this, but wasn't "destroying the evidence" the crime itself?

You clearly don't care.
Quote:Well, that's why she voted for Hillary, dontcha know?

Where did you get that idea from? I voted for her in two primaries because she had more experience in Washington than her opponent.
Quote:I am not going to waste time arguing about this, but wasn't "destroying the evidence" the crime itself?

Oh no... that's just it. Destroying the evidence is a huge enough crime that she should not be allowed to run for President, and huge enough by itself to get her impeached. Nixon got impeached for so much less. But the big crime is one where we don't even know what it is. The big crime is whatever she's covering up.

I do care. I can't wait for the email scandal to end. It is so frustrating that the FBI keeps finding more illegal emails, especially shortly before the election. I also know there is no reason to waste time arguing with a hater about it.

You voted for her because of the D after her name.  Nothing more.
Quote:He has no political experience to lean on. That should disqualify him.
Trump not being a career politician (a Washington "insider") is one of the main reasons (in a lot of cases, the ONLY reason) many people will vote for him.

Over the course of the past few months, I've heard many people say that's why they will vote for him, even though they are not crazy about either candidate.

Trump will garner a lot of votes just because he is not a career politician. A vast amount of Americans are sick and tired of all these politicians and the mess crated by them that never seems to get better.

I don't like either candidate. But, it's gotten to the point where I would almost vote for ANYONE that's not a "status quo" career politician. I don't like Trump, but I don't like HRC at all.

Richard Nixon was not impeached. He knew it was going to happen and quit under pressure.
