There has to be a lot of program trading involved.   There's no way individual investors would cause market swings of this size.   As of now, down 450 points today.   Yesterday, up 1,000 points.

Absolutely.  I don't see the market stabilizing until a few weeks after the new year.  Eventually we should start to see a gradual rise unless some unexpected circumstances cause more volatility.  I'm keeping my eye on tech, real estate and financial sectors right now.

That's pretty much true of all message boards, anywhere, on any subject.

Haha...

I've had some well thought out constructive critical conversations in message boards before....
OK once...

fine, never...

And highly doubtful they are financially invested/interested as well.

At least, I hope they aren't... for their own fiscal security, with that apparent kneejerk mindset.

Hmm....

Nope... wasn't trying to tie to anything pop culture.

But are you referring to the invisible hand theory by Adam Smith?
From Wealth of Nations?

DOW with best January in 30 years. Thank you POTUS!

December 2018 was the worst December for the DOW since 1931

2018 was the worst year for stocks in 10 years.

"December was a particularly dreadful month: The S&P 500 was down 9% and the Dow was down 8.7% — the worst December since 1931."

Kind of like 4 years ago when Bortles goes 12-15 for 175 yards and 2 TDs in the 4th Quarter when down by 27.

Yes, we had a nice Jan 2019 recovery after having our worst month in 87 years.  Personally, I can deal with 5% or more year over year increases regardless who is in charge.  It sure beats losing over $40k between Thanksgiving & Christmas.   CHEERS !!

Of course.  However, what's unique about this communication is we're ultimately pulling for the same market success, which only benefits all of us .... just having some fun within the spin cycle

No kidding.  I was getting ready to pull a George Bailey (Wonderful Life) and jump off a bridge but some angel looking guy came to my rescue and told me everything was going to be ok.

Okay, but just before I do I will give you a heads up so you know the best time to dump your shares. Don't let anyone else know ... That would be unethical.

Market just eclipsed 26,000 today. The economy is absolutely booming, and they are predicting it will eclipse 27K soon.

Have we hit 27k yet stroudcrowd?
