Marrone is done coaching here - regardless of the false alarm tweet.
Marrone is going to coach like he doesn't care tomorrow now. Basically, you won't be able to tell the difference.

Won't miss a beat and won't miss his [BLEEP].

Hope he doesn't forget his spoiled bologna when he's dismissed.

Your disdain for Doug Marrone is commendable. This guy has been bad for a long time, even when we were good.

I was never a fan of the hire, especially after his stint in Buffalo - but I gave him a fair chance to prove me wrong (almost did in 2017) but the wheels finally came off the runaway bus headed to our franchises pitiful demise.

A coach with "expertise" for OL and our OL being horrendously bad for a long time? Absolute lack of control especially with penalties? Yeah, see ya Dougie!
NFL.com is reporting that Marrone had dinner with Shad and Tony. It says both him and Caldwell are leaning toward safe.

Jesus Christ, if this happens, I'm done.

Tony also was really defensive over Ramsey and tweeted some other things that pissed off a lot of
Fulham fans.  So, I’m not sure how much one can read into his tweets.
False report. Smh.

Just end the damn nightmare.
Guess we find out the truth today.
Every time I see this thread on the main page I see “Doug Marrone Fired”. And my heart kinda drops in excitement.  Then I realize he’s still here.

Really hoping for a one of those comical games today.  Really drive the point in that he needs to be fired.  Idk what to make of all the reports.  At this point I’m kinda dumbfounded that it’s still possibly up in the air.

Any questions I had about keeping him, mostly benefit of the doubt, were answered last week.
For the first time in my jags fandom I am not rooting for them to win. I’m so indifferent and even a 1 point win might be enough to convince khan to keep Marrone. No bueno
I posted this in the front office speculation thread but I'm still just so lost by Shad Khan:

I'm just confused...didn't Khan say last year that unless there was improvement (which from a record standpoint there wasn't), the organization wouldn't put up with that? (Or something to that degree)?

So why would he go against his word? If he does, I'm starting to lose faith in him as well now.

It's exactly what he said very clearly.

Yeah see so if that's what happened, why should any fan trust this organization anymore?

No reason I can think of.
I'm actually hoping - almost praying - for a complete blowout today. I seriously do not want this coaching staff around anymore.

If that doesn't cut it, I dunno what will. The incentive to stay on and support this mess gets less appetizing every year it lingers

You can't. Khan and his son don't know what the hell they're doing. It's abundantly clear with what happened with Coughlin and this bonehead report yestetday.

I am thankful they have kept this franchise in Jacksonville. But they need to figure this out.

Hate to sound like "that guy" but Khan Jr. giving out stone cold stunners in a wrestling ring only to come here and be in a more serious role disturbs me.

Can't take him seriously.

As much as I dislike this staff. I always want a win. No matter how ugly or pretty. Just win.

I believe Mike McCarthy - a year out from GB - will be our new head coach. He's looking to get back in .  the game. Has experience developing young QB's. Not innovative, but a respected SB-winning coach. We could do a lot worse.
