If he stays I *really* want to know the rationale behind the decision. It'll have to be a good one.

You can't. Khan and his son don't know what the hell they're doing. It's abundantly clear with what happened with Coughlin and this bonehead report yestetday.

I am thankful they have kept this franchise in Jacksonville. But they need to figure this out.

Hate to sound like "that guy" but Khan Jr. giving out stone cold stunners in a wrestling ring only to come here and be in a more serious role disturbs me.

Can't take him seriously.

Oh wow I didn't know that..

HS someone seriously takes this clown seriously? you guys really think he can be a GM?????? this is hilarious. Also, I had never seen a Tony Khan pic before wow, just wow, yeah I am sure he would be a total success as a GM.

I cant see him staying, it's been the same mistakes for 2 years but the only way I see him staying is if Khan cant be bothered to go HC hunting.

That's it.

They call him Jacksonville Dixie. And the fans of AEW didn't even like this stunt.

He can't do [BLEEP] right. He's a modern day version of "The Toy" playing with his daddy's millions searching despartely for direction and a real father figure.

Where's Richard Pryor when you need him?

Lots of angst and speculation here seeing as this season hasn't ended yet.

It's almost over though.

Hopefully they win this one. For the season ticket owners. Nothing says "Appreciate You" like a good old fashion win.

Just make him the GM already, whole league is laughing at us anyway, might as well being great as being a [BLEEP] organization...

I dunno man, I mean a win is always cool but not if it means it gives Marrone and Caldwell a chance to stay...

Wouldn't complain with a win but I am just afraid they'll cling to that to give Marrone more time.
Let me tell you one thing, Doug Marrone is terminated from this franchise and the reason I know this because when Shad Khan wanted to keep a coach with Gus Bradley in 2015 and Doug Marrone last year he always announce it before the last game so the players can concentrate without worrying about the coaches status. If I'm lying somebody please look it up and I promise you I'm correct when it comes to this situation. This year he didn't announce Doug Marrone staying as head coach before the last game but the interesting question is who is the next coach and what direction he's going to go when it comes to Personnel matters. I think Caldwell is showing the door as well and my choice of a head coaches Eric bienemy from Kansas City.
Good Gawd!! .....no way should that wrestling crap be anywhere near Professional Football!

I do recall SK announcing whether it was Gus or Marrone at the time staying a week or so in advance.  I was just actually thinking about this. If he was truly safe, I imagine he would have done the same this time.

The only one I can think of is that Khan doesn't want to double pay and already obligated to pay these clowns for next year.   Seriously it's like Jason Garret and the cowboys or Marvin Lewis and the bengals.  Those guys stuck around for years and accomplished very little.

Oh please, the NFL is just as scripted for outcome and the Jaguars are Steve Lombardi.

Shad doesn't strike me as a guy who would let a few million dollars damage his brand unless it was intentional.
I want to make a sign, Marrone's or my last game (after 25 years), you decide Khan.

I have to admit I was off on this. I thought both DM and DC had contracts that went through 2020 - not 2021.  So of course Khan doesn't want to pay all of those coaches and front office staff 2 years of salary while doing nothing.

It puts more money in Khan's pockets and let's be honest - he isn't that interested in bringing a winning franchise here because he would have gotten rid of Caldwell after his first 3 disastrous drafts instead of letting him stick around this long.

The fans are dumb enough to keep shoving money in Khan's pockets - so why should he make any changes?
not this fan .....and I've bought tickets and apparrel since the start

Tony Khan is not going to be GM.
He'll be fired after the game today. Someone let something leak early most likely.

I've surmised the same. Tony Khan chirped up because he doesn't want to be perceived as not in control.
