They have to go
I wondered about Shurmur. NY is a tough place to coach and 2 awful seasons isn't going to cut it. Gentleman is torched the roster so not all Shurmurs fault but that will be an attractive job. Plus a high draft pick if the new HC isn't sold on Jones
NFL leader in penalties. Redzone and 3rd down ineffectiveness. Historically terrible stretches of being ousted by 17+ points in 5 consecutive weeks.
Multiple games with 200+ yards surrendered on the ground with a few other games coming damn near close.
Failing to rotate RB's. Failing to address the OL issues. Failing to get the TE position addressed. List goes on and on.
Doubling down on that is suicide. If Khan doesn't fire Marrone and Caldwell I can only hope they have enough dignity to [BLEEP] step down.
Doubtful. But respectable.

The team clearly didn't quit and if Coughlin hadn't forced Foles back in we might be 8-8 or 9-7 looking atthe playoffs even with Ramsey getting run off by Coughlin. I for one am totally on the Caldwell and Marrone train next season. I don't know for sure we will get back to playoffs but I think we just might.
You sound like my best friend who had a girlfriend that became an exgirlfriend but she rocked his world like a Texas tornado in the bedroom every once in awhile.
So he would let her hang around here and there while she also wrecked his world outside the bedroom like a Texas tornado.
It's fun. But it's not good for you.

Lol, hey if I can get any rocking as aJag fan I will take the Tornado. Its better than a 3-13 Gabbert year for sure or a Bradley 4-12 special.
I guess that's why the username is handsomerob and not smartrob or logicalrob.
Heard on 1010 a little while ago that it was reported Khan walked through the locker room and gave Marrone a high five. Uh oh, that's as good as a signed contract, right there.

"What do we want? Mediocrity! When do we want it? Anytime in the near future would be fine."
I just don't get it. If TC was running everything and making all the decisions, why did Marrone sit there and take it? He is supposed to be the head coach and he has control of the team on the field. What kind of leader, man would sit there and take without saying anything?
Going to continue to have poor coaching choices from players ( see today finally play Cole at KR, using more than 1 RB), gameplan to force feed LF and all around terrible Seattle defense, etc.
Khan's own words about not making the playoffs this season.
Thanks for prolonging the agony another season for Jags fans.

Tell TC to shove it or fire him and he'll sit at home collecting his pay for 2 more years.
This isn't a regular person who needs a job and has no options.

This team is so frustrating. They lose when we want them to win and win when it hurts us in the long run. Had we have lost, we'd be picking #5, but by winning, we now pick #9. That means we probably miss out on Derrick Brown and we're most likely stuck with Marrone and Caldwell. It's a sad day for Jacksonville fans. Every time it looks like there is a ray of sunshine about to pop out, someone closes the window and blinds and we're left in total darkness. In all seriousness, if Marrone and the coaching staff isn't fired, I gotta take a year off from this team. I've been following this team since the day it was announced we were getting a team and for the last 15 years or so it has been one disappointment after another. I take football way too seriously. I know that, but it's an addiction. I just can't sit through another season terrible coaching, sloppy play and excessive, drive killing penalties, because the coaches can't do their jobs.
I want him gone. Good grief, why hang onto anyone from these craptastic seasons?
Khan is going to cater Fried Bologna sandwiches and greasy lay's chips at the next meeting. The plan was a difficult choice between oscar meyer and food lion brand.

Meaningless win that will cost the team. And I'm with you, if Kahn doesn't give a crap why should we?

Caldwell would blow the 6th or 10th pick, so it's moot.
Even if it was a good pick, bologna wouldn't coach them up.
Yeah, another losing season in 2020. Way to get the fan base energized with the same crap that got us into this mess.

The truth hurts. Ouch.
The actual [BLEEP] you thinking? In what way is Marrone even remotely [BLEEP] qualified to do anything in a "advisory" role outside of coaching?
We tried that with Coughlin. It didn't work out. So let's double down? Holy [BLEEP] man. This is a leaky theory.
If he stays. Wash goes. He threw Hackett under the bus last year. It's Wash's turn to be a wickerman. Still doesn't answer for the team's leauge leading penalty records from last year and this year.
It certainly doesn't answer all of the continued offensive woes along the offensive line neither. If Marrone and Caldwell are retained it's because Khan and Mini Khan are dick heads.
That simple. They're too prideful to admit they made a mistake extending a three headed monster that hood winked them all during an easy schedule in 2017 thanks to a plethora of injury riddled teams.
They would rather add another steaming pile of [BLEEP] onto Marrone's bologna sandwich philosophy for 2020 because they would rather not pay two coaching staff's over the next two years.
He's fixing to alienate the [BLEEP] out of this fanbase. It seems deliberate at this point. So [BLEEP] him and [BLEEP] his son. Coughlin was the sacrificial lamb. He gets to be the scapegoat. Even if it's completely illogical.

Good if Marrone is back. Have a chance to draft Trevor Lawrence.

1. Saves the horrible coaching staff.
2. Hurts draft order.
3. Builds false hope that the team isn't that bad.
If one game saves the coaching staff after a warning last season was followed by another bad season, then Khan it's not a man of his word.
If some don't think a spot of two matters then why is it so expensive to move up a spot of two?
If the team isn't that bad then the coaching staff is HORRIBLE.
You win by winning, it's that simple. The draft is a crap shoot.
