I really do wonder what the plan is going forward. Maybe somebody can make a drinking game out of the conference?

Don't pick "you know" or "know what I'm sayin'", you'll die of alcohol poisoning inside the first two sentences.

“Obviously.”

Cryptic message on his Twitter. He’s jamming “save me” by Meek Mill today.
I would love to hear this "'plan" they pitched to Khan.

Lets just stay the course and hope for different results? Ugly
Just be happy today your job isn’t to try and sell Jaguars season tickets next year lol

Why keep watching and rooting for a team that has absolutely no accountability for repeated failures? Nothing is ever gonna change. We'll lead the league again in penalties in 2020, we'll have another losing record and basically it'll just be a repeat of 2019. I thought a change in ownership might be a good thing, but it's had the opposite effect. I wonder if the Weaver family would consider buying back the franchise? Anyway, for my own mental health, I gotta step away. I get way too invested and am constantly let down by this team and this owner who seems perfectly satisfied with the way things are. This has been the worst year of my life, both as a fan and regarding life in general and I can only take so much disappointment. There is just no way to justify keeping these failed coaches. I'll be back when things actually change and there is some hope to look forward to. In the meantime, I'm not gonna root for any other team. I'll always be a Jags fan, but it's too much heartache right now. Good luck to all of you. We've had some great conversations and arguments as well. It's been fun and it will be again......... someday when the old batteries are recharged, but right now, they are drained. Anyway, good luck guys.

I tried that, and it lasted about a day.  Remember "Breaking up with the team"?
Marrone might know exactly what went wrong and what needs to be fixed and how to fix it. But there's no way he's going to be able to get the assistant coaches he needs to execute his "just one more year" plan.

The only way he gets a quality DC in place is if Capers takes the job or Caldwell finds someone with the wink-nudge arrangement that the new guy will be the interim head coach by week 9. I'm only kind of kidding about that.

You won't see nor hear anything about it. Khan said in his personal statement that it's confidential.

He essentially wants the season ticket holders and fanbase to take yet another leap of faith for him.

I'll give him the entire month of September before I completely tune out next year as a fan until things change for better or worse.

If they get off to a 1 - 3 or 0 - 4 start there has to be a change made. No excuses this time.

The second scapegoat will be Marrone. Caldwell's fate will be determined by the end of December of next year.

There's truth in this. And it'll probably be the case. Still waiting for Wash to be fired.

He's going to have to take some chances on the defensive side of his staff. Maybe dial up an aggressive 4 - 3 coach from the college ranks or work some of his old Syracuse ties out.

I could see Capers taking a one year deal.  But the man is 69 years old and there's a reason he decided to work as a consultant and not a coordinator. Even if it takes it, does he have the energy and inclination to give it the time it will take?
well expect another loseing season in 2020.

Would look at the college ranks honestly. Brent Venables from Clemson. Dave Aranda from LSU. These guys are paid good money to be DC's at the college level.

I would reach out to both of them after the championship game. Offer them a potential "interim" job for a year behind Marrone if he fails.

Worst case? They go back to college as a potential HC.

Here is a definition of negativity from the web dictionary: “Negativity is a tendency to be downbeat, disagreeable, and skeptical. It's a pessimistic attitude that always expects the worst. Negative outcomes are bad outcomes like losing a game, getting a disease, suffering an injury, or getting something stolen.”

He's probably worried about being ran into the ground in 2020 based on how heavily featured he was this year.

I am waiting until after the press conference to make up my mind about this situation. I am really interested to hear what Marrone has to say.
