I realize Fournette has been a disappointment and was going to get released after the season the season, but now? We didn't even draft his replacement! We have nobody behind him on the roster, unless UDFA James Robinson (who I like) or Devine Ozigbo (who was never even given a shot last season), has been so impressive in camp that the team felt comfortable with making the move. I'm still shocked though. I'd expect Robinson to be the "guy" from here out. He's a mauler who loves contact and is great in short yardage situations, but lacks the speed to be a consistent breakaway threat. I consider him a "poor man's" Derrick Henry. This should be interesting.

He isn't great in short yardage, he is blind. That is what hurts him the most. He has all the other skills needed, except for quickness, but he is blind and can't see a hole.

Nah, there's still several in here.

They've been moving on from Fournette for two seasons already. I think they thought he would have some trade value right about now and it just didn't work out. Then with the Yawn thing this weekend they decided to finish off the attitude adjustment.

Armstead showed nothing last season and Ozigbo was never given a chance to do anything, so he's an unknown. Besides, right now they are playing against our own defense in practice. Any RB can look good against our defense.

Scheme fit or not, this is ridiculous. I guess we will get to see the circus in action in 13 days or so.

Around the league, there are always 3rd and 4th string RB that become starters by the end of training camp and seasons. I know that sort of thing never happens with the Jaguars, but I mean without hope, what is left?

I think Fournette was a Coughlin pick. If you compare Coughlin's SB Giants team to the one he built in 2017, they are very similar.

Loaded D line with a quick secondary and power running football and Eli making the few big plays needed.

I said before, it feels like Marrone and co have got Khan thinking most of the problems were TC related and now hes gone they can 'fix' it again.

"At the end of the day, I just felt it was the best decision for us as a team," Marrone said.

"I challenged everyone around me, 'Let's go off what we see. Let's take names, take draft picks, off the table. Let's put them on the field and see who the best players are.' That was my goal. That was my responsibility and that's what I feel I'm doing."

I'm thinking Armstead might be a stud this year.  Said they couldn't even get a 5th or 6th for him, he had no trade value.  That's how you know he sucks

And yet Todd Wash still has a job...

He seems pretty straight forward and has a good sense of humor. He did frustrate me though with the 1 yarders that seemed like they should have gone for more. Maybe Doug plans to show that it really wasn't the O line.

That's wut she said, when I broke things off

Is hard to make an upgrade when you have no talent to draw coaches and people perceive you as being in a lame duck season.
Thinking back to last year, there were plenty games where Fournette was so underwhelming I was hoping they put Armstead in the game.

I stand by that Fournette lost his identity as a running back when he lost those 20lbs and tried to become Fred Taylor.
We trade away every player from the only team we had that was successful, what type of dumb [BLEEP] is this. We got lucky, its a bunch of others teams that have been no where near a super bowl. We get rid of everyone like its possible to to just duplicate the lucky success we had.  [BLEEP] stupid. Ita not the players that are bad. Its the terrible coaches and gm.

Fournette is replaceable.

Check the main page, you'll know who they are.
I'm pretty sure most teams who get to a Conference Championship game have recycled most of their roster after 3 off seasons (excluding maybe the Patriots because well it's the Patriots).

Sure the Jaguars have probably lost more than most, but I doubt it that much of an aberration.
Cut the 4th overall pick with no return. Solid move.

Ranks 5th with 101 scrimmage yards per game since 2017. I’m sure it was on the field issues though.

Lol at this turd show in Jax right now.

Look at this fact: in spite of only allowing the stadium to be 1/4 full this season, the Jags are advertising tickets.  Maybe it has something to do with the pandemic and people not wanting to go to the games for that reason, but on the other hand, it seems like they would be able to at least sell 25% of the seats.  But they're advertising tickets.  There could come a time when we have to admit, this team cannot sell enough tickets in Jacksonville at high enough prices to be sustainable, pandemic or no pandemic.

So Khan is accelerating the process so he can be first in line for London.  It makes sense to me.

Ridiculous.  This team can sell all the tickets and then some with even a passable product on the field.  It has shown that time and time again.  Many teams are advertising for their limited COvid capacity.

Unbelievable.  We couldn't even get like a 5th rounder for this guy?  It seems like he's a locker room cancer, but he has talent!
When we drafted this guy I felt we had made an error. During his time at LSU he seemed to me to be injury prone. His Junior season he had a few injuries (ankle?) when he did come back he seemed to avoid the contact to break out. I saw this as a pro here where he would run for 1 yard when he should have gotten 3. No idea why... we will move forward and it does speak volumes we were not even able to get anything for him.

One thing Caldwell has been good at doing is getting picks for trash. If he couldn't get something for LF27 then LF27 has no value.
