Unbelievable. We couldn't even get like a 5th rounder for this guy? It seems like he's a locker room cancer, but he has talent!
Supposedly they tried to trade him and got no interest.

One thing Caldwell has been good at doing is getting picks for trash. If he couldn't get something for LF27 then LF27 has no value.
I hear you. That might be the only redeemable thing about Caldwell. I'm just surprised we could not get ANYTHING for a former first rounder who had some (albeit, for only one season) success on the field.

Ranks 5th with 101 scrimmage yards per game since 2017. I’m sure it was on the field issues though.
Lol at this turd show in Jax right now.
The problem is some games he would put up big numbers one game and then stinkers the next. Or he would have a terrible game and then rip off a big run and boost his stats to make it look like he was a better game than it was. Perfect example is the Cincy game last year. Doing horrible all game then bam 80 yard run that boosted his stats. Here was negative yards up to that point.

I stand by that Fournette lost his identity as a running back when he lost those 20lbs and tried to become Fred Taylor.
Fournette is replaceable.
Agreed, but not by anyone currently on the roster.

Exactly!!
Like many of you, I understand that LF may not be elite and that he may not fit scheme wise with where we are headed. With that said, the timing and circumstances of this move are hard to wrap my head around. I find it hard to believe that we feel confident about replacing his production with what we have despite it not being what some people expect. The fact that Game 1 is right around the corner makes this fascinating to me. I would love to be a fly on the wall in that front office. It just doesn't make sense based on when and how it has happened

Really anyone can fall forward.
It all smells with Caldwell!
Anybody got any clues on who the best fantasy back on the team is now? And whatever happened to that back from S.C.? The udfa. Can't think of his name. Tavin or sumn??
Never mind. I see he's with the g men. Tavien Feaster
and here you all thought they brought him in to be an analyst/assistant.

Hopefully the entire coaching staff has started looking for jobs and housing elsewhere, because they wont be employed by the jaguars next year.

Don't be so sure about that. I wouldn't be surprised if Khan retains Caldwell and Caldwell in turn, makes a minor coaching change, like firing Special Teams Coach Joe DeCamillis and trying to sell it to the media and fans, that such a move fixed all the problems. I've come to expect such things from this team.

Regardless, the Jags are officially in the Lawrence sweepstakes.
If I’m Lawrence, I’m staying in college for another year because this franchise is arguably the worst run team in the league. It would make sense that in the one season where they actually get the top pick in the draft, the options don’t include a generational QB. The team has officially become a joke.
But but but Caldwell is the best GM we've ever had!!!
TC took over the reigns in 2017.
Who was the first round draft pick that year?
Over who?
Who made the picks?
I predicted if TC was in charge he would take Fournette.

You have proof that Caldwell wanted someone else? show us, come on.
Care to mention the RB's Caldwell has brought to this team? hilarious list, I'll wait. While you are at it show me the QBs too (if you are naive enough to think DC wanted Mahomes or Watson). Bortles was his pick, you don't think he would have given him the extension? xDDD
So TC was in charge? we agree then. 2017 was thanks to TC and the people he signed.
Minshew, Allen and Chark are Coughlin's guys, NOT Caldwell's. What would this team be without them?
Can we re-sign Denard Robinson? What’s he up to?

High value RBs are what you do when the rebuild is complete and you can spend on luxury. We shouldn't be thinking about a RB before round 4 for a few years.
