Just putting the conversation in context.

Why are you going after her for something I said? I said it and I stand behind my point. My point wasn’t that no one on the right disagrees with AOC or Nancy or any of the squad, the point was I don’t see any of them taking it so personal in such a irrational rage filled manner. He’s like a guy talking about his ex wife who slept with his best friend and took the dog in the divorce rather than someone holding political office. Lol

Yeah, I'm confused too. But it's been that kind of week and it's only Tuesday.
It might not be Biden, but someone is showing up to work. About 9,000 Americans and allied Afghanis have been evacuated in the last 24 hours.
For context, evacuations out of Saigon peaked at 7,000 per day and the south Vietnamese were still in control of the city while the evacuations took place.

You don't know what you are talking about and you don't know the numbers.
I'm not "going after" anyone. I think O-line makes a valid point. I don't think it justifies his attitude towards trump, but he's right: there are hate-filled conservatives. There are many on this board. BB says there isn't, but she's wrong. So, when Americus chimes in, saying she's not like that, I was simply asking if she can acknowledge that his point is not invalid. I like Americus. I think she is honest, and I value her contributions to the board. I am definitely not attacking her... I was just asking her to think about what O-line was really getting at about some conservatives being sanctimonious. Even if she isn't, there are others who are, and it's probably best for our relationships if we just acknowledge it. It's good for her to be heard, and it's good for O-line to be heard.

I like O-line. I think he's a good dude with principles. The only reason I am defending his position is because I think it's important that we acknowledge that there are turds on our side, too. It's the extremes that are driving wedges in this country. If the reasonable among us would take a stand against the extremes, I think we might be able to avoid another Civil War. The problem is that the extremes aren't going to stop, and until we stop letting these guys dictate the climate of our discussions, it's only going to get worse. Truth be told, I like several of our "liberal" friends. I want this to be a place where they feel free to post their opinions.

The only group I don't like, are the people already have their "minds" made up, and would rather bully the other side into submission. I see them come out of the left and the right. If we aren't calling out our own, how will there ever be civility? And make no mistake, I wasn't calling out Americus. I was just asking her to consider this point.

Very well said. I like you too. In fact, I like several people on this board, despite our differences in politics. Some, not so much, but for the most part, I don't have a problem with anyone here. I hope we can continue debating things without personal attacks and name calling. There's no room for that kind of stuff. Many of us are just passionate about what we believe in, no matter how different those beliefs may be. I don't take anything personally and I hope others do the same.

BBC says 21,000 in two days, CNN says 9,000 in 24 hours... Fox posts no numbers at all.

Sounds pretty made up to me. Fox is the most honest because nobody knows the true numbers.

I also noticed you used CNN number in your main post...

If numbers are correct, it is because the military is withdrawing. They gave Biden until today to decide what he was doing or they were leaving. So they are responsible for the jump in numbers.

It's why I found it weird that Biden appears to have no control over the military from the outside looking in. They could have easily gone and gotten everyone and got out of there in a few days. Either Biden told them to stand down or someone else is giving them orders. The handlers claim the military couldn't do anything to help, so which is it? We know the military can move people around.

That's a complicated explanation.
Here's a simpler one.
Yes, the military knows how to move massive amounts of people, but it just takes them a couple of days to ramp up.

The military isn't allowed to do what they know how to do beat.
I miss having a President.

So, you didn't see message #293? Did that not answer your question? I didn't go into detail because I didn't think I needed to and I got sidetracked by another matter.

Sometimes it’s good to have a bully when dealing with bully’s. I still prefer the Theodore Roosevelt approach tho. If you put a couple of American air carrier groups on Iran’s coast they would get quiet real fast.
Explosion at Kabul airport.
3 US troops injured.

2nd explosion reported.
Articles of impeachment need to be drawn up right now.

No, let’s not stoop to democrat idiocy every time things go south. We need adults in the room right now, not lefty temper tantrums.
Besides, Cackles is the alternative and as difficult as it is to believe, that would be worse.
