Trump said he did not know her. She proved that was a lie with photos.
Trump said she "wasn't his type" but then during his deposition he mistook a photo of her for being his second wife.  So she proved that was a lie too.
During his deposition, Trump was given the opportunity to discuss and walk back his famous "grab em by the [BLEEP]" discussion, which occurred right around the same time as Carroll's rape allegation.  Trump did not walk those comments back.
So the jury very reasonably concluded that Trump had more likely than not sexually assaulted her, "grabbed her by the [BLEEP]", at some point, and then lied about not knowing her and not finding her attractive afterwards.
Now, is $5 million the right amount of money for that? Seems like way too much to me.

So what you're saying a woman that Trump couldn't pick out of lineup saying he assaulted her is proof he assaulted her. Great reasoning.

Who said anything about proof? The burden of proof was set very low in this case.  "More likely than not."

So low in fact that they didn't actually need any.

Too low for a judgement of $5 million, certainly.

But the fact is, Trump bragged about grabbing women, and we now have about 20 women, who can prove they personally interacted with him over the years, saying he grabbed them.  I don't know that any of these women deserve money just for being grabbed, because as individuals one could claim the contact was incidental or accidental.  But for the whole mass of them, Trump definitely deserves some sort of punishment. By his own admission he is an abuser with a pattern of abuse.
You believe what you want to believe. Nothing you posted there is worthy of a conviction. It's just people hating a guy and siding with their own kind. This is a farce, just like every other witch hunt. Dems abuse their power WAY more than Trump has ever been allowed.

It wasn't a conviction.
It was a judgement.
You have his own admission that he grabbed women's crotches.  You have a set of women who can prove they went to events he was at, saying he did it to them.
Are each and every of these women being totally truthful? Probably not.  Is one of them telling the truth? Definitely.  At least, it's more likely than not. Which was the standard of proof that the judge gave the jury.
Don't you understand that other men have been totally banished from public life for less? Dan Schneider.  Kevin Spacey.  Do you have higher standards for actors or for Presidents?
I thought we wore clown faces as a protest of Baalke being kept around...evidently some jags fans already had them on and never take them off.

You would make an excellent New York liberal judge.. Seems they like to convict on probability instead of evidence, themselves..

Congrats?

Clowns have no interest in understanding, they only want to air their own opinions. Doing wrong leads to disgrace, and scandalous behavior brings contempt. Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolish.
Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge. The first to speak in court sounds right, until the cross-examination begins.

The judge interprets the law.  The burden of proof required in various situations is set out in the law.  An appellate judge may decide that the law itself was wrong, but that's not the role for the judge first hearing the case.  And the jury just answers the judge's questions.  Don't blame them either.
CNN (seen below) with their attempt to discredit Trump on their Town Hall..

Everyone's a fool.
Everyone is either a fool who is ready to learn something, or a fool who thinks he doesn't need to learn anything.  You're the second type, and I'm the first.

So says the self admitted fool. I don’t take advice from fools, jokers or CLOWNS.
