I just hope they don’t do us the same way we did the Colts last year and just robbed them of the playoffs, even worse is that they will move on in our place

Had 117 yrds rushing in the first quarter and that one run in the 2nd combined. Outside of that he did nothing on the ground with 121 rushing yards on the day. Thats why they went away from the run. If the run game was working you can bet Tenn. would of continued to run the ball because thats what they do. He had 119 rushing yards in the first half. I stand corrected on a Jag franchise record in the first quarter, it was a personal record for Henry. Henry got shut down from the 2nd quarter on, hopefully we can play him like we did for that last 3 quarters.
Let me put it like this - If Vrabel/Downing had kept feeding Henry the rock in that game I BELIEVE he 100% would have had 200+ yards and 2 touchdowns. Even figuring in the 4 times he was stuffed on rush attempts and the fumble (at the end of a big gain) he was clicking off 7+ yards per carry and 11.3 yards per catch. He was playing great.
The only two possessions we stopped him on were the forced fumble near the red zone and the three and out at in the mid 3rd Q.
They abandoned the run for the remaining 23 minutes of clock.
I don't think we stopped him at all. They quit feeding him.
I still think he'll need to have a career game on Sat. night to make any sort of difference, because I think our offense can produce more points than theirs. And I think we can get points on the board faster.

Why are you guys so hell bent on acting like this defense shut down Henry?
I'd love for that to be true, but it just isn't.
Henry had 3 carries for 23 yards and a reception for 16 in the 2nd Q before the fumble.
Why would you call that shutting him down? Unless you mean his coach and coordinator shut him down.
They should have fed him more.
Literally the only drive he was shut down on by our defense was the tacks first possession of the second half.
They stuffed him twice, Tenn. was backed up by a penalty, Tannehill was sacked, and they punted. That's it. That was the only instance in that whole game that he was "shut down" by our defense.
It was nice work by our defense and really good timing to do make stops on that drive, but it doesn't equate to Henry being "shut down by our defense from the second quarter on."
It was quickly 27-17 halfway into the third and the tacks abandoned the run.

Saturday night game for the division title? It will be a madhouse regardless, lol.

I don't see any way it's not ~60,000 DUVAL faithful and ~6 or 7 thousand tack fans packing that place this Saturday.
Anyone who attended the seahawks game or the bills game in 2017 should remember that atmosphere and expect that, only there won't be near as many tack fans as there were bills fans.

I don't see THAT many tack fans there TBH.
I don't think they have that big of a fan base.
Secondly it seems much of their fan base are demoralized by their late season collapse and want nothing to do with the tacks in the playoffs.
Anyway, we should simply pound the tacks and put them and their fans out of deeply into their misery.

That's not healthy man. The Jags cleaned the Titans' clocks twice in 2005 on their way to the playoffs. Then again both teams were playing for 2nd place behind the Colts. Regardless, I feel like we should be over 1999 by now?

They have tortured and dominated this team for the better part of two decades, starting in 1999.
Under those circumstances its hard for Jaguars fans to NOT harbor hatred of the tacks.

I was alive for it, I watched parts on TV and heard other parts on the radio. I was in high school for it and it was the only topic of discussion both the week before and the week after.
But the simple fact is the 1999 team just wasn't very good. They lucked out with their schedule. The 2007 and 2017 Jags teams were both more talented and more physically dominating than the 1999 squad. I don't think the 1999 defense would have slowed down the Rams. It would have been a shootout and the Rams had more weapons that year. The Titans actually slowed the Rams down and made that Super Bowl a competitive game.
So if we're ranking disappointments, the losses in 2006, 2007, and 2017 rank higher, for me.
