In 2017 ‘Sacksonville” was great, but they don’t have nothing on “The Bank Robbers.” All they need is the mouth bandannas. This defense is doing their thang and I hope Josh Allen keeps wearing the tinted visor.

Welcome to Prime Time boys!

The Jaguars defense leads the NFL in turnovers with 15. The teak record is 33 which was set by “sacksonville” back in 2017. This 2023 defense is on pace to absolutely shatter that record. They are robbing the other teams, and it’s winning them ball games.

Over the last 2 games the Jaguars’ defense has created 6 turnovers and now they are on the 2nd longest winning streak in the NFL, behind the Chiefs.

Williams and Cisco have combined for 6 ints, 13 PD, 3 FF, 2 TFL, 9 turnovers, 1 TD. Both players are leading the NFL in interceptions, which all categories lead the NFL for a safety and a corner, except TDs. Also the first time in Jaguars history that 2 players are leading the league in interceptions. That’s highway robbery.

Williams leads the league in interceptions and PD’s and leads the team with 5 forced turnovers. Cisco is 2nd on the team with 4.

Josh Allen is 2nd in the NFL in sacks. If it wasn’t for the roughing penalty he would be leading the NFL in sacks.

Oluokun is 3rd in the NFL in tackles.

The Jaguars run defense is ranked 3rd in the NFL.

In the Jaguars history, the franchise has played 42 Prime Time games with a record of 20-22 and they are scheduled to have 3 prime time games in 2023, which could be 4 if the 49ers game gets flexed.

Trevor Lawrence is 1-1 on TNF games, and is 6-2 lifetime on prime time tv (including playoffs and London games). His 2 losses came to the Bengals in his rookie season and the Broncos in London last season.

Since that Broncos loss in London in 2022, the Jaguars are 5-0 in prime time games.

The Jaguars are coming into New Orleans looking for their 4th win in a row. A win tonight would push the Jaguars to a record of 5-2 with a win percentage of .714, which would rank 3rd best in franchise history. Right now the Jaguars win percentage is the 5th best of all time in team history.

The franchise has been in the NFL for 29 seasons now and the team is looking for its 194th win in the regular season.

The franchise has never won in New Orleans in 3 meetings. The last win against the Saints was way back in 2003 where they won by 1 point, 20-19. The only other win against the Saints was in 1999, which was also a night game where Jaguars’ Legend Jimmy Smith had just first career 200 yard game.

Etienne comes into the game leading the NFL in carries and needs just 15 yards to lead all RB in the AFC in rushing yards, which would rank him 2nd in the NFL behind McCaffrey. Etienne still hasn’t fumbled this season and he’s still looking for his 1st career touchdown reception.

Kirk leads the team in receiving yards with 384 and he also leads the team in receptions with 49.

Engram is still looking for his 1st TD in 2023.

The Jaguars are currently the 4th seed behind the Ravens and in front of the Bills. Here is a list of games to keep an eye on:

Cle @ Ind
Buf @ NE
Det @ Bal
Lac @ KC

*Hou and Ten on bye

The Saints are Jaguars are both favored to win their divisions, according to Caesars Sportsbook. The Saints come into tonight’s game with a 3-3 record.

Let’s steal this dub!
This game will be the third game in 12 days. Just get through this one with a win and no further injuries, then it will be one game in the next 23 days.
WOOOO finally I can watch a whole game
Doc Murphy on 1010 this morning says that not only should Trevor not be playing tonight, but he thinks he won’t play.

If Trevor needs to miss a game, this is the one he definitely *should* miss. Short week against a non-conference opponent, playing on turf with a gimpy knee against a team that has issues of their own. If there's any question of making it worse, I'd hope the coaches make the right call and sit him. I know the player is going to want to play and will do anything he can to get out on the field though.

The thing with that is, no one knows what injury he really had. Just a "knee bruise/sprain"

Is it a bone bruise? A MCL/ACL strain? Literally just a big superficial bruise that hurts a lot? It could be any number of things that could influence that decision. He's going off his medical opinion on what should be done for the best healing outcome. Of course, in a perfect world, Trevor shouldn't play and let it fully heal. But this is the NFL. I still think he plays tonight.
From my fantasy football news update: "NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Trevor Lawrence is confident he will play in Week 7 against the Saints. According to Rapoport, the knee sprain Lawerence is dealing with is “pretty slight.” Backup C.J. Beathard reportedly took most of the snaps with the first team during team walkthroughs, but Lawrence said on Wednesday that he expects to play. Fantasy managers will want to check-in on the Jaguars’ inactives 90 minutes before kickoff, but it sounds like Lawrence will be ready to go on Thursday night."
He went into detail about the different grades of MCL injuries and sprains. When asked if he thought Trevor should play tonight, his answer was an emphatic no. According to him, the risk of further injury is greatly increased.
If just a bone bruise I would think he'd play. But if a ligament strain you can make an argument he should sit. Impossible for any of us to say without knowing what the actual injury is.

His opinion was based on the presence of a knee brace. He says that is a big indicator of an MCL injury.
The fact rourke has been signed to the active roster and not just elevated for this specific week. Confirms Trevor is playing to me. This way he doesn’t have to be named but can still come in the game as insurance if Trevor can’t finish the game
I would be shocked if Trevor didn't play tonight.  The Jags are just playing up the injury angle in hopes of keeping the Saints guessing.
You get 17 games, every single one is important. If he can run, he can play. He will play.

And to think a few days ago some of the smooth brains were claiming his shoe just came off.

"He's not just a catchy number, he's real!" Oh, wait a minute.....
Monday the line was Jags -1, today it's NO -1.5... the money always knows...

To be fair on that, I believe Kelce was wearing a brace with his bone bruise. At the end of the day it's all speculation unless they tell us exactly what it was

This is an example of a hot take.

The reason people said his shoe came off is because they, like me, saw the tackle and watched the replay. The tackler twisted his foot and leg. You could also clearly see that the back of his shoe came off.

Folks hoping that the least bad result is what happened is not disingenuous or “smooth-brained”. But go ahead and be a keyboard warrior. There are plenty around here.

Yep. Ratings also in the balance here. Tho I just can't imagine why unsubscribed America wouldn't be blowing up the Amazon web site to sign up to watch the epic battle of Beathard v Carr.

Are you trying to say Bezos texted Trevor and basically said "you better play tonight, [BLEEP]"?
