Rauscher knows him from his time in Minn.
I don't think you bench Harrison at RT. That would be pretty foolish. He's been playing well for us and that's with battling a shoulder injury. Maybe Baalke is not done and he's got somebody else potentially on the move from our roster for a pick-up. Hell, for all we know, maybe he's fixing to ship Robinson or Little off.

I thin all healthy we stick with

Cam little fortner scherff Harrison this year and then next year release cam and slide little across and you have a proven guard rather than having to take a rookie in the draft

Cleveland came here to start. He's on the alst year of his rookie deal and is one of the better guards in the the game. He won't be here next year unless we give him a lot of money. Somebody is getting moved to the bench.
Can Ezra play center?

Little at LG, Ezra at C

73.8 grade at PFF

LOVE THIS!!
Where does that grade stack him with our guys?

Way better than Shatley (46.8) and obviously Bartch

Scherff is probably similarly ranked, but playing hurt  (67.6)

Little is an X factor here (76.0)

edit:grades added
Bartch has been released on the back of the trade
Maybe they move Cam? Possible... Trade cam, shift Little back to T, Cleveland at LG. Other than that, they just traded for a guy who will be part of a rotation this year.

I don't see anything in his scouting that shows C exp.
he's a tackle converted to guard
He scored a 9.92 ras which is one of the best ever. He's an athletic marvel.
Trevor just let out a long sigh of relief.
Regardless of how the lineup shakes out, it's great to see them recognizing we need to protect Trevor and not just sitting still with who we have. Plus with Cam likely gone it helps shake out the line for next season with Little back at LT.
Bye bye Sherriff.

I think they are looking at it as insurance for inujury to Scherff short term - and then taking over a guard spot full time next year after working a deal to extend in the offseason

best guess anyway
Perfectly timed an OL upgrade with the 9ers upgrading their pass rush... lol. Bosa and Young is gonna be a pain in the rear to defend.

Meh. We'll see. I would be more concerned if they had a better offense right now. Purdy has been pretty bad the last two weeks. He's been turnover prone.
Very good move. Robinson and Scherff will be gone next year so you now have Little, Cleveland, and Harrison as solid starters hopefully for the long term. Still may need to draft another guard unless Hodges proves he can be a starter. That leaves the center position which Fortner has not shown enough to justify a starting spot. Maybe draft a center who can also play guard on day 2 of the draft.
So what does this mean for Little? Swing tackle again?
So it'll likely be:

Robinson Cleveland Fortner (eww) Scherff Harrison.  Little as the swing tackle.

Not bad for the playoff run.
