Smarter? Maybe.. More accepting? Hell no.. Christ, there's kids committing suicide over stupid facebook. They're not mature enough for situations such as this and it shouldn't be thrust upon them.

I save my children from emotional trauma by not having any.

You're saving yourself as well. Believe me.

I prefer to have a mortgage destroy my wallet, at least I can always sell a house. Selling a kid is not only frowned upon but it's also a terrible investment.
I am guessing that anybody who is insulted by someone not referring to this thing by it's "real name" most likely

A. Contributes zero to society.

B. Bags their lunch every day at work.

C. Gets to work 2 hours before everybody else just so they can leave at 3PM every day while everybody shakes their head thinking "What does that guy actually do"?

As a father, if you have daughters, at what age are they using public restrooms unsupervised? I'm being serious here.

I try to imagine a situation where a mother escorts her 8 year old daughter into a public restroom. While there, the daughter is washing her hands and a tall woman emerges from a stall and uses the sink beside the daughter. She's wearing a dress, her hair is long. Maybe she smiles at the girl, says hello in an unexpectedly deep voice.

What happens next? Does the girl run screaming to mom? Does mom suddenly realize they are in the presence of a man and pull her daughter to safety?

Or maybe neither notice, or one or the other notices, and it is explained rationally. Nobody gets hurt, maybe everyone learns something.

They really are.  At least most kids are.  In the end it's all about justifying their dislike (and yes, they obviously dislike transgender people.  Otherwise they wouldn't refer to them as 'things'.  Personally I think they're the 'thing' but I can't say what that 'thing' I think they are is on this board).  of people in a politically correct fashion.  The funny thing is, they're the same kind of people who rail against political correctness.

I previously posted a response to this in the Curt Schilling thread. I can't find it while on my phone. It's crossing my eyes.

I found my previous post.

And I'm guessing that anyone that thinks ^this way^ most likely

A. Lives in their mom's basement (or Florida room if it applies)

B. Has to have someone else pack their lunch for them because knives are sharp.

C. Tries to find a date on FarmersOnly.com only to get upset that there are only people on the site.

Wow...this is awesome. Making asinine generalizations is a hoot!!

I try to imagine a situation where a father escorts his 7 year old son into a public restroom.  While there the son is washing his hands, and a tall woman emerges from a stall and uses the sink beside his son.  She's wearing a dress, her hair is long.  This is what people apparently want.  This woman was born a man, but transitioned into a woman.  I think my children would be far more confused by that.

I'd be willing to bet your house that at least 2 of my assumptions are correct.

Also, speaking of asinine, I find it funny how people (person) with no kids can credit a little girl with "learning something" when some dude whips out his equipment in a women's bathroom.

It's easy to wear the PC uniform when it isn't your kids you are making blind generalizations about.

Also, speaking of asinine, I find it funny how people (person) don't know most ladies' bathrooms have stalls in them so any kid in there would never even see anything anyway.

Also, speaking of asinine, I find it funny how people (person) assume that a kid seeing a man sausage is somehow inherently worse than a kid seeing a lady clam.

Also, speaking of asinine, I find it funny how people (person) think most people don't know better than to have their jiggly bits out and open in the presence of children.

You do know that in the ladies restrooms, that all the toilets are concealed by stalls, there is no "whipping out of equipment" in view of anyone else. You seem to be confusing transgendered with a garden variety pervert. The only time I've ever seen someone whip out their equipment in a public place was at a city park when some man, living as a man, dangled his worm out in front of a group of mom's and kids on the play ground. Maybe we need some laws banning men from city parks now.
Does it really matter what gender somebody identifies as? Am I the only one who couldn't care less? Identify yourself as a tape dispenser if it makes you happy, it doesn't affect me in any way.

And does it really matter which bathroom anybody uses? It's a friggin bathroom. I follow a strict code of "no eye contact, no verbal communication" when I'm in the latrine, I don't care if it's the friggin Pope two urinals over from me.

To some folks I really don't think there is anything even remotely resembling a difference...

It makes one wonder how many eyes wander whilst standing in front of a urinal.

Yes, kids are committing suicide because they are bullied on Facebook. Why do kids get bullied? Usually because they are seen as different than everyone else. Maybe if people realized that being different is okay, there would be a lot less bullying going on.

It's pretty hard to bully someone if you don't have a problem with them being different in the first place...

At my work the urinals have those little partitions. EverBank Field didn't have those last time I went there.
