Lots of things. Mostly a realization that he wants to strip us of our rights just as much as Rubio and Christie do, but he's after different rights to effect his form of control.

The countries are all 95+% Muslim except North Korea. He is just doing it the politically correct way.

And that's exactly how it should be done. It's identifying problem states and cutting them off huge difference versus proposing religious test which are completely impossible to verify.


How a problem is solved is just as important as addressing the problem.

No he's doing it in a way that doesn't create new power or precendent for the feds to exclude immigrants based on non verifyable criteria.

What do you do about potential Islamic terrorists coming from France, Sweden, Germany, and the UK? Ignore them? Boston Marathon bombers came from Russia, which was not included in the ban list. Much like the religion ban, the state ban also has major holes.

You can't stop them all from coming in, what we can do is make sure we're watching the right people and not wasting time collecting data on law abiding citizens state side. We can stop funding their radical operations in hopes they commit acts of terror on our rival states and not us, we can stop sending them foreign aid in hopes that we can buy their tolerance, We can encourage citizens to be alert and armed and prepared to defend themselves. What we can't afford is to empower an already intrusive federal government in hopes they protect us from the new bogie man.

 

Your liberty and way of life is much more threatened by the tyrants in Washington than the radicals in Afghanistan, only one of them has the funding resources and ability to oppress you. There is no ISIS without western funding remember that, so why should I give up my liberty for them to fix a problem they created? And yes submitting to a religious test for ANY reason is compromising liberty, just because I'm not a Muslim doesn't mean they won't one day us it on me.

You aren't giving up your liberty, unless I have you confused with immigrant Achmed Eric from Tajikistan. Aren't you a citizen? What liberties are you giving up by restricting immigration? I agree with your other points.
