Yeh... Those meanspirited disability workers were so intolerant. Paid time off for prayer and pilgraimage. What a hype.

What are you blabbering on about? I said intolerance isn't a cure not that everyone is being intolerant...

I'm in full support..

This is like cutting off your leg because you stubbed your toe.

So you're comparing the rise of terrorism in this country and the death of innocent people to "stubbing your toe"?

Brilliant..

Establishing a religious test for entry to the country because of a fear of terrorists is like cutting off your leg because you stubbed your toe.

This country was founded by people seeking religious freedom.   The Bill of Rights protects religious freedom.   So 14 people get killed out in California, and you want to throw out everything this country stands for?  You stand a better chance of winning the lottery that getting killed by a terrorist.   You stand about a thousand times better chance of getting killed in a car accident than getting killed by a terrorist.

This is like grounding all the airplanes in the world because a plane crashed.  A plane crashes, so let's just ground all the airliners "until we can figure this out."

ISIS and Al Qaeda want us to turn this into a war between the Muslim world and the Western World.   Divide and conquer.   Trump is playing right into their hands.

Trump is selling fear.   14 people get killed out in California, so let's throw out everything this country stands for.  Because we're scared.

Trump is an odious toad.   An American Mussolini.   "It's gonna be great, it's gonna be fantastic, I know how to negotiate, I'll out-negotiate everyone, seal the borders.  Let no one in.  We're gonna win 'cause I'm a winner."    Do you buy that?

Yet the male shooter at San Bernardino was born in the US? So what is this ludicrous idea coming from? Next they will be cheering for concentration camps for certain US citizens...

We've done it before. I wouldn't put it past the government to do it again.
Are people really so oblivious that they can't see on how a pause on Islamic immigration would benefit the security of this country? Have they been baited by the MSM, hook, line, and sinker, to believe that the Islamic religion and governing body is not an extremely large, powerful, and oppressive force antithetical to American culture?

For goodness sake people. 20% of American Muslims believe that suicide bombings are justified, 51% of American Muslims believe Shariah law should be allowed practice over the constitution, and 25% of American Muslims believe violence against Americans in the name of Islam is justified. We want to bring in MORE people with this mindset? Unfathomable.

By the way, nothing Donald Trump has said or proposes is against the constitution. He is speaking about non-American citizens here, foreign individuals to be given access to this country.

Are there good Muslim people out there? Obviously. Do the majority of Muslims hold beliefs that are considered antithetical to American law and culture? Yes. So until we figure out a process on how to separate the good Muslims from the majority bad ones, there should be a pause in immigration. If not on Muslims, then all immigration.

But how many mass shootings/killings have been from non US citizens or people born Overseas?
Quote:But how many mass shootings/killings have been from non US citizens or people born Overseas?

How quickly one forgets the Boston Marathon bombing. The San Bernadino shooting was also done by a person born overseas. Also, why should it only apply to US? Do the actions in other western nations not apply to the US? Must we be so reactive we have to wait for another bombing before we take action? We know what is happening out there. We know what is happening here. So why wait for the inevitable?

A religious litmus test? I'd never support that. One, it's wrong. Two, it's unconstitutional. Three, it wouldn't work: "No sir, I am not a Muslim. I renounced that faith long ago as a religion promoting violence against others, and I can't support that ideology."

A ban on immigration from certain countries like Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Syria? Yeah, I could see how that's warranted and fair as long as refugees still have the chance to come here and live in highly-controlled housing without access to the general public, weapons or explosives until they're proven beyond a doubt to not be a threat or able to be housed overseas in UN camps.
ISIS wants Muslims to believe that the US is in a war against Islam itself.   By proposing discrimination against Muslims, Trump is making their case for them.   This strengthens ISIS.   What they have been claiming to be true, now appears to be true.

Secondly, what if we carry out his idea and stop Muslims from entering the US, and then there's the inevitable attack on US soil by a Muslim extremist?   What then?   Put all the Muslims in concentration camps?

You can apply that kind of reasoning to anything.    How about crime?   Crime is a thousand times greater threat to you than Islamic extremism.   So why not become a police state and end crime?    You're awfully comfortable with tossing out everything we stand for in exchange for a little extra safety.

What is unconstitutional about it? These are foreign entities outside of the US. Not US citizens. Not living in the United States. The constitution does not apply to them in any way, shape, or form (unless the US has become a globalist government of the world, something I am very unaware of). Let me show you something in the law books, my friend.

8 U.S. Code § 1182
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1182

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.

Tossing out everything we stand for?

What do we stand for? Arming murderers in the middle east? Giving welfare to anybody who feels like they don't need to work anymore? Emptying the treasury to prop up corporate interests? Allowing politicians to line their pockets with lobbying money? Ignoring the first amendment to silence opposition speech (Thanks, Loretta Lynch)? Ignoring the second amendment by creating more and more gun regulations? Abusing the 14th amendment to allow uncontrolled population growth from illegal immigrants? Giving federal money to losers who go to school for a gender studies degree? Allowing a militant, racist group to run roughshod over local, state, and federal police?

Your comment is an excuse to sit idly by while your country falls to shambles to foreign and corporate interests. Which is fine, it is your right.

That's a nice long list of some of our nation's problems.   So you think this man on a white horse is going to solve our problems?   This guy who says, "It's gonna be great, it's going to be so fantastic, I know a lot of people, they love me, I'm a negotiator, I'll out-negotiate everyone, blah blah blah..."   He offers nice, neat, simple solutions to complex problems.    He's a "strong man" like Mussolini.    It's a heady brew of populism and xenophobia that reminds me of the early Nazi Party.

You're doing exactly what people accused Democrats of doing in 2008: buying into the guy on the white horse who can solve everything because he's so great.

You know what the worst thing is?   You're going to get Hillary Clinton elected.

14 people?!?! Try hundreds and hundreds with the sure probability of many more.. But continue to stick your heads in the sand.. What's it going to take for fence sitters and nay sayers to see the light? How about you sitting in a restaurant with loved ones and having a terrorist exploding himself (or herself) and killing mass amounts.. Will that change your opinion? I guarantee it!!

Trump isn't selling fear.. Terrorists are.. Trump is selling an option against terroristic attacks.. This is becoming a radicalized world we're living in (even here in the good ole' USA).. And if we don't start protecting our borders, we're all in for a long bumpy ride.. Maybe it's time to change how we allow "just anyone" into this country because we're now letting the people in who also want to kill us.. If you can't understand that, then that's not my fault..

Why does every conversation about Trump end in fascism? Has anyone ever actually read up on what the fascist parties of Germany and Italy did? It isn't even remotely comparable. Please, for the love of god, read a history book before you mention Fascism and Trump together.

<b>Godwin's law</b> (or <b>Godwin's rule of Nazi analogies</b>)[1][2] is an Internet adage asserting that "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1"<span>[2][3]—</span>that is, if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Hitler or Nazism.

This is just getting ridiculous.

If Hillary Clinton gets elected, so be it. She won't be any different than Rubio or Bush, the two "leaders" of the GOP. Hopefully Trump does run as an independent in this case and destroys the GOP. It is a decrepit party of ineptitude and weakness that have far strayed from its Republican roots. Cruz and Rand are the only two running that could possibly continue the Republican tradition (aside from Trump), but they cannot withstand the media onslaught like Trump can. Put the nail in the GOP's coffin and let something better rise from its ashes.

Has anyone answered how we determine who is Muslim and who isn't when they try to enter the country? They " look" Muslim?

They are not all middle eastern. There are white, black, etc Muslims.

Do they carry Muslim ID cards?

It looks like theres a third party. Trumpicans or Trumpocrats, since practically all of GOP including Speaker Ryan condemned the remark.

Why doesn't Trump stop black immigrants? The black on black crime is higher than terrorists?

Mexicans and their drug wars...wait...the wall. Ok. The Don has that covered.

Someone stated The Don of Jersey will ensure Clinton's election. That's an understatement. His diviveness will make Perots run look pale in comparison.

Actually, there's a handy little chart to solve this problem. Unfortunately, there are apparently some internet laws that mean we're not allowed to discuss said chart.
