Quote:The Titans best YAC player is Wright, who is around 70th in the NFL in that regard with 140 yards (out vs Saints). Delainie Walker doesn't even crack the top 100 and he's been Mariota's best playmaker. I'm not sure what shifty playmakers the Titans have on offense, but I promise you their playmakers aren't nearly as good as the Jags'.
so......

YAC is good or no?

cuz you said they get alot of YAC because of Merry O's pinpoint accuracy....

but then their best YAC guy is 70th in the league?

so Teroyotas high comp % is from checking it down, or no?

You've spun so much I've become quite dizzy....

edit: wait, so you're saying these guys get a lot of yards after catch, but not a lot of yards after contact....

so... they get the yards after catch, because of marshiotees accuracy and superior talent and not because of his check downs, got it.

Dude, I know!!  He's confusing his own arguement!  I'm glad I'm not the only one that's seeing this...  It's actually quite hilarious watching him implode
Quote:Well duh.  The talent we have on offense, in terms of our passing game is top 10.  That includes our QB.  Just deal with the fact that BB5 is a HUGE factor why we are a top 10 passing team.

I never said he wasn't? Just that all the excuses of Bortles having to carry the team are bogus. Mariota is doing more with a worse offensive line and inferior playmakers. Why don't you just deal with that? Mariota being better doesn't preclude Bortles from reaching his potential.

Dude, what?

You're boy is better than BB5?  Come on...  Get real.  He is playing above expectations.  And I will grant that.

But BB5 is playing like a real QB...  The fact that you cannot see that is ridiculous.  BB5 is carrying the team.  Look Bacon, it's clear you don't watch BB5 play football.  So you are relying completely on stats.  If you actually watch the games, you would see that the entire offense runs directly through our passing game.  And the only thing that makes our passing game work is BB5.

Seriously, its cute that you are taking turnovers and passer completion % and trying to make an arguement that BB5 isn't good.  But the reality is that BB5, as of right now...  Not projecting... But right now, is a top 10 QB in all the important statistical metrics.  He's top 10 in yards.  Top 10 in TDs.  He's asked to throw the ball more than most QBs and he's only in his 2nd year.  The guy is being asked to carry the team.

It's not hard to figure out.  Unless, you know...  You don't watch him play...   :geek:

of passes thrown +20 yards

marchiotcha is

3/18 88 yds

------------------

78/99 for 684 is 10 yards or less.

including 21/22 thrown BEHIND THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE

so yeah... he's pretty good dinking and dunking....

Bortles is pretty good slining it...

passes over 20 yards for BB5?

13/41 for 560 yds (including 3/4 from 31-40 yds and 2/4 from 41+)

Eminem hasn't even attempted a pass that travels 40 + yds

uh no...

Bortles is doing more with less.

tacks D is better than Jags d, statistically.

also tacks haven't faced the Pats yet or the Jets.

against tougher opponents MM was hushed, against awful defenses he's lit it up.

but he's done it through a team managing their QB, much like Minny is doing with Teddy (in his second year)
Wait, Tacks have "more" than us????

Why? Hasn't Caldwell stocked the team?

Think about your answer

Maybe you should think about the HISTORY of this team over the past few years...  Man...  You really are flailing around today, aren't you.
Caldwell has had three drafts why haven't we caught up with the tacks!?
Right, because now the defense is forcing Bortles to be one of the most inaccurate QBs in the league. Must also be the reason why he make poor decisions and turns the ball over in crucial moments.

Do you actually want Bortles benched and replaced? Not sure what you are arguing for...

Uh...  Yeah...  LOL, you sound like you never realized that if the other team is scoring at will, then your offense has alot of pressure to match them.

And especially when you have an O-Line that can't run block very well, all the pressure falls on the QB.  I mean, seriously...  Do we need to get you a book or something.

Did you just land on Earth and this is the first year of NFL football you are watching?  I mean, it's important for us Jungle posters to know our audience when speaking to you...  I don't want to call you dumb if you actually are just now learning the sport...

One piece of advice I'd like to give you right off the bat---  It really helps if you watch the games.  They are normally played on Sunday afternoons (depending on your timezone).  But also there are games on Monday and Thursday night...

A time zone is based on your location, or where you live, in the USA.  The USA is a country on the planet Earth.  The planet Earth is the 3rd rock from the star at the center of the solar system in which you are residing within.
If you can't see the talent maybe sports just aren't your thing. You would think it was year 4 the way people are talking.

Probably Tebow and Young fans previously...

You keep going back to the offensive line, Mariota's line has been much worse in pass protection and it isn't even close. The Chargers, Giants, and Saints all have some of the worst offenses in the NFL with hardly any effective production from their running games either, yet they're still top QBs. Having a bad defense isn't an excuse for being inaccurate and forcing turnovers. If what you're saying is right (really how could you how he feels) that just shows Bortles doesn't have the composure to lead an NFL team.

OK...

INTs:

P. Manning - 13

Luck - 12

Stafford - 11

Cam Newton - 9

Tannihill - 9

Drew Brees - 7

Phillip Rivers - 7

Matt Ryan - 7

Rothelseburger - 7  (This dude has played in like 4 less games than BB5)

BB5 has 10 INTs.  You act like he's the outlier.  You just sound so dumb.  Like you are trying to convince yourself that BB5's number of INTs is a clear indication that he won't be a good QB.

It's pathetic.  Would I prefer he have less INTs?  Yes.  Is it something that creates an arguement that he's not going to be a top 10 QB? Of course not.

And again, if you don't realize how sports work, it's fine. Just admit you don't.  When you know you are playing from behind or that you have to match scores, you push things a bit more.  People who have played sports understand that...

I don't care about care about MaryToyota's offensive line.  I keep explaining it to you, but you are intellectually dishonest and ignore it every time, so let's just move on from that shall we?  It's clear you are not interested in actually discussing facts.  You prefer to ignore them and then deflect to some other stupid arguement that you have no concept of...
You guys make great and logical arguments for Blake Bortles and ruin all of that by making literally the worst nicknames for Mariota. MaryToyota? Really?

LOL, duly noted...  What did you think of PrincessPeach&Marioota?  I also liked Manchurianiota...  I'll keep working on it...  I also liked the Frankensence&Myhrriota one...  I'll bring that one back again as we get closer to Christmas.  :-)
Quote:Well, considering he had 0 pick 6's against the jets, he's on pace for 0 INTs for the rest of his career.

Or, based on the first 2 years, he's on pace for about 1,000 pick 6's for his entire career...

I think it's gonna fall somewhere inbetween that range of numbers...

Based on his entire career, Blake has averaged 1 pick six every 3 games. For the season that would put him at about 5, so I'm expecting a couple more.

Quote:Caldwell has had three drafts why haven't we caught up with the tacks!?
caught up to? They have 2 wins bro.

defensively they seem to be a little better than us, offensively their QB is kind of carrying them (though their run game has gotten better each week.)

meanwhile... they didn't completely gut their roster, and decided to piece pieces together as they went.... which may work for them...

Smith had screwed us so bad Caldwell needed to start from scratch... you forget that?

No franchise ever does it... maybe this is why, it takes too long and fans aren't patient.

But we did... and now, the fruits of that labor are being seen.

Sure, this season still has a lot of pains but if you think the tacks are in better position in the long run than us because they seem competitive (against the leagues worst defenses, and struggles against the Phins and Bills)

you're crazy lol

I'm just getting silly with it...

just having a little fun at the expense of some Marshy Meadow fans... ( and Roger Goodell)

I think I might stick with Eminem though....
