That is a regurgitated "draft" memo from a previous operation. Look up OPERATION WESTERN VIGILANCE, OPERATION JUMP START, and OPERATION PHALANX. Once again, the media and ill-informed freaking out over steps taken several times in the past. Where does it state 10,000 troops? All these non-border states the media is talking about? I didn't see that in the memo.

It's called thinking for yourself.  Try it for a change.  I need none of those outlets to tell me what I should think or how I should feel about anything.  They no longer report.  They strictly opine.

Freedom of the press is in the First Amendment for a reason. If an individual journalist is making false statements, you pursue action against that journalist. You don't lock out large chunks of the media because they don't salute the swastika the way you want them to.

Might want to re-read the part on page 3 regarding the non-border states:

However, like you, I didn't see any 100,000 figure. I imagine the 100K is the number of national guard units in those states, thus is probably hyperbole compared to the likely number deployed. Not 'fake news' as such, but the usual click bait that both conservative and liberal news does to increase hype and get ratings. Still, this would be a pretty significant expansion on those previous operations you cited.

I read it just fine and what you quote refers to states bordering border states not the states of Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana that the media has been often reporting as part of the "11states".

I think it's cowardly of him and his administration. Whether you like them or not. News is news. They should have the right to be there. Let them say what they have to say. Let them do what they have to do. The more you ban them or exile them the more you make it easier for people to lose faith and trust in you. 

 

This is why I am glad I don't get suckered into that whole "pick a side" thing in our country. This left or right [BLEEP]. Free speech and Freedom of the Press. Whether it's coming from the intelligent, ignorant, self absorbed, etc. It's a shame it's come down to this to be quite honest. Especially when you can continue to set up the fake news and lying journalists even further with poor journalism and reporting. 

 

This is literally what happened with that whole Wall Street Journal Vs. Pewdepie hit piece that started a few weeks ago. The WSJ ended up looking foolish after they clearly took things out of context to fit their own click baiting headlines.

And geography is not my strong suit, but which of the states you quoted does not border California, Arizona, New Mexico or Texas?

The Onion has more credibility than Politifake at this point.
