Quote:I find it hilarious the number of bona fide scouts we have here. Given the lineage of elite QB's that have called Jax home, I definitely get it.

We? Go home little kitty before we foster you at J-dub's place.

A team with a cat for a mascot calls another team with a cat as a mascot "little kitty"?  This is the stuff you can't make up.

Maybe you should get out more?
So a couple of us have given our opinion of Cam and that he's not going to be the guy that gets you to a SB, and the best you can do is the MB equivalent of, "u r dumb"?

LOL, and who's pathetic?   Rolleyes

Carolina may beat the Jaguars week one (for the record I think the game is winnable for us), but trust me, nobody would be surprised about that.  Cam winning a superbowl...  Now that would be shocking stuff.  Cuz it ain't gonna EVER happen.  Sorry...

panthers could win the super bowl this year, but not because of cam newton. Panthers have something our jags don't this year.  thats a defense. My dad,and i saw the game vs lions, our first string defense was bad,we had none. the seconed, and 3rd strings looked even worse.  well my dad said we had no defense, and hes ussalley right about the jags. to me we didn't have any defense that night, but im hopeing it was because we had players out hurt.

Wolfie.  Stick to Madden bro.

Panthers have as much a chance to win the SB as we do this year. Honestly, I would take our offense over theirs any day of the week.

Our defense needs some work but lets be honest, Clemons has barely played and Marks hasn't stepped foot on the field. We haven't been game planning for the other teams O and once that happens, we should be better.

First week is gonna be awesome!

But you've also said the guy with the lowest QBR in the league is soooo amazing. Hurts your creditibity quite a bit

I did? I don't remember saying that. I do feel that bb5 has a lot of upside...

Sooooooo amazing? Ok?

All I know is that our qb has more potential than yours. We know cam. We still have a couple years to determine bb5's ceiling.

Look, cam is like Cutler. He'll do some good things, but he is inconsistent and inaccurate at times. His feet can get him out of trouble, but that doesn't make him a top 10 qb...

Like I've said, week 1 is a winnable game for us.

ROFL

Cam Newton came in at 53rd in QB rating last year. To put that in context that places him between Mike Glennon and Nick Foles, and two slots above Chad Henne at 55th.

Bortles came in 68th. We know Bortles wasn't great last year. As a Carolina fan you probably didn't know that QBs usually improve over their rookie seasons. In our case, Bortles' mechanics and decision making look vastly improved, and those improvements have nothing to do with it being preseason. The Jags have five other rookies who started on offense last year and should also improve.

Quote:I know where you are going with this, 02. We have lost and lost and lost. We are scared of even the thought of possibly being good again. I get it. I'm just a language guy. To say, I'll be ecstatic if lose the first 3 of 4 is just, just...beyond my expresssivity. Rubs me the wrong way mate. We just don't damn know. We can start 4-0, and lose the next 12. Remember when 1-8 walked into Indy and beat 8-1?
There is a difference between hopes, possibilities, and probabilities. We all HOPE to be 4-0 after 4 games, most people EXPECT 2-2 or worse.

You do realize that Cam had ankle surgery and was bothered by it most of the year. Then he broke a rib in the preseason. Then he was in a car wreck where his truck flipped twice. Not to mention we had the worst Oline in the league for the first 10 weeks. The last time Cam was healthy this team won 12 games with zero receiving threats.

Cam won rookie of the year, set passing records for a rookie and also first two years in the league, has made two Pro Bowls, and you guys think he's Jay Cutler because all you see is what happened last year?

Never use Pro Bowls as a source of validation. Garrard made a pro bowl.

You clearly didn't see any Jaguars games last year.

HA! Both of these made me laugh out loud.
Yeah, your line was terrible for 10 weeks. Ours was terrible for the full 16. So put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Man, that's just sad... you are drooling over his rookie year?

How long ago was that????

And you're drooling over the preseason. Hilarious.

We're drooling because we have been lobotomized. It is the only way we can still be Jaguar fans.
