Quote:The Lions have one playoff win since 1957. The bills lost 4 straight superbowls, and in the following year the music city miracle happened. We don't have it so bad now, do we?
I would easily take 4 straight Super Bowl appearances, win or lose. You also have your timeline wrong. Music City Miracle was 99/2000 season (the year we lost three times to the Tacks). The Jaguars ousted the Bills in the Wildcard round in 96 before winning vs. the Broncos and eventually losing to the Patriots in the ECF.
There's definitely franchises who have had it worse, especially given the success we had after inauguration. But our recent history has been up there with those "snake bitten" franchies.
Quote:It's still a curious move. I would understand it if we're taking someone from a position of strength and testing him somewhere that is a position of weakness. An example would be at FS, where we just lost Sample. We have a pretty good group of CBs with House, McCray, Colvin, and Gratz fighting for 3 spots. Would I have been surprised if they decided to try out Colvin or Gratz at FS with the lack of bodies there (Sample and even Evans out)? No, I wouldn't.
Instead, the opposite seems to be happening. We're taking a guy from a position of weakness (no one really at Tackle behind the starters) and trying him at a position of strength (Linder/Beadles/Cann and Wiz who can swing to G).
They are just experimenting at this point on time. If he can play 4 positions along the O-Line then he's that much more valuable to the team if they decide to go light on O-Line this year.
It's also possible they like what they see out of Josh Wells and Brennan Williams as well and want to give Pasztor an opportunity to earn a roster spot at a different position.
Nothing is set in stone as of yet.

Pasztor isn't a guy who played a lot of football in his career though. IIRC he was a hockey goalie. Even its underwear practices, I think he should stick outside and learn from Parnell.

That's what I thought going into this offseason. House is definitely overpaid but we need him for depth as the worst case. Needing 3 CB starters is a must in this NFL. It is weird to me that Colvin is forced inside when he can play outside too. House can only play outside in this scheme and is being paid an outrageous sum to be the 3rd best we have.

Nickel back is just as important in this defense as it is playing outside. Our nickel back is going to get "starter" reps as well. Also I think it's too early to count out House as of yet as well. Be mindful he's learning a new defensive scheme while the others have already been here.

Henne threw one yesterday.

...according to Ryan O'Halloran.

Allen Robinson's upside is darn right scary, he's a physical specimen with elite atheltic traits (broad and vertical jump) and is only 21 years old, he reminds me a lot of Jordy Nelson.

which is just one man's opinion who probably never played a down of football in his life
add that to the fact that this is OTAs we're evaluating and you get a meaningless tweet
90% of football "tweets" in June are meaningless under those conditions...
Still.... Pretty sure he was talking about seeing those guys make plays like this in team drills. This is from day 8 of OTAs BTW.

I think I'd be concerned if they weren't the two best corners he's seen.
