Quote:Does anybody still want to try to make the argument that Allen Hurns is the most talented receiver on the roster?

His double move is sick...?  Confusedweat:
Hurns is good, but it was clear, at least to me, the ARob was the most talented relatively early on

Not sure anyone has ever even said or merely suggested that.

But if anyone has ever said he's one of the most versatile, they're right.  It's why he's been around as long as he has.

Uh, who said he was?
Quote:Uh, who said he was?

There's actually a good amount of people who suggested that in an earlier thread.

This
I had heard some rumblings that Hurns was the best last year.

He had the best ability last year--availability.

ARob SHOULD surpass Hurns in everyones eyes by this season. Can't deny that last year, Hurns was, overall, the better receiver. But that's holding an injury against Arob... that I won't do.

They eye test shows me that Arob, if healthy, could be a really really good receiver. Hurns could be a familiar with the offense flash in the pan.

If they end up being close in playing ability... that'd be a pretty good problem to have... and we wouldn't have to worry about Lee so much...

I think all 3 will end up being pretty good or better and by contracts end, one of them will be signing with another team for a solid contract.

Hurns was the best reciever in the NFL!!! During the first half of week 1.

Hopefully.  When you're having to let good players go because you have better options, that's a good problem to have.

It's been a long time since we have had that problem.

Yes, they have.  Early last season before Robinson or Lee had a chance to do anything.

I can't remember who it was, but the discussion happened here.  I was on the side of ARob and Lee.... even Shorts.

Uh, and how dare you question me? Apologize.

The "Best WR in the AFC south" Thread, plenty stated Hurns would be on the list and most put him above ARob or Lee.

I'm just as excited about Lee's potential as ARob's. Lee, once fully healthy, may end up being a big time play maker.

A good portion of last year, Hurns was the best receiver on this team due to injuries.

I think its pretty obvious that when Allen Robinson is healthy he will take that place, but he has to prove he can stay on the field.
When was the last time this team had so much talent at WR that we would even be having this debate?  This is a great thing!

Well, to play devil's advocate here: he was the WR to do something before Lee or Robinson did.  I'd actually go as far as saying that he was 2nd to Robinson.  But if you're looking at points scored, then yes he was the best WR on the team last year.  As far as consistency, Robinson was the best WR last year.  Basically, they both had their moments, and Hurns hit a few more out of the park.

Doesn't really matter though.  If Hurns continues to improve, then we have a good improving WR on an undrafted rookie contract.  And I'm hoping that Robinson can show that he's able to be one of the top WR's in the league.  Not top 10 obviously, but maybe in the top 20 argument.  Although I think if he continues to improve, he does have the ability to be a top 10 WR in this league.

The discussion I remember was strictly about talent.

And when I brought up Hurns' body catching habit, people actually argued with me.
As long as they catch the ball when its thrown to them I dont care who's the best.

I guess you are forgetting the huge debate over who was the best out of Mike Thomas, Jason Hill, or Tiquan Underwood. Good times.
Quote:He is trying to show Marcedes Lewis how to catch a ball, especially if it is not thrown perfectly to you. Sometimes you have to adjust to the ball and jumping can give you an advantage as a ball catcher.

Are you watching Marcedes?

There's no reason to jump. Extend your arms and grab it before the defender does.
