Quote:Ok, compared to every other leo on our roster and just about every other leo in the league who are all pretty much 260+ he is a lightweight.
He weighs less than our otto LB. It doesn't matter what you want to call the position, he is still going to weigh less than 99% of the people who play at the line of scrimmage.
Relative to where he plays he is a lightweight which goes along with the original point, which the other poster tried to contradict, that there won't be a lot of beef on the weak side with Clemmons and Smith both being undersized players.
There's only a handful of teams that use a LEO on the DL. Whether you want to call it the Buck, the Jack, the Elephant, or the LEO, there isn't much of a difference besides where they line up. Some are bigger, some are smaller, but the key traits of the position is speed and length. Leverage can quickly take size and strength out of the equation.
You're acting like they're asking our LEOs to play inside at NT or something. There's a reason why our LEO lines up so wide in our base. Good speed, leverage and length will make up for a 50-60lbs weight advantage real quick. The whole point is to get our more gifted athletes in some space, 1 on 1 and let them work.
I'd hope our OTTO was bigger than our LEO, considering our OTTO's first job is to set the edge in the run game. The OTTO can and will line up on either side of the formation. The OTTO will be on, or very close to the LOS.
Telvin and Clem will not be both lining up on the weak side every single snap.
Also, Clem has been in the league how long now? I'm pretty sure he knows more about what his optimal playing weight should be than you do... It's not like he's a rookie used to tossing around 19 year olds.

No I am saying 248 lbs even for a leo is lightweight in this league.
I don't know why this concept blows your mind.

So many people wanted us to draft Vic Beasley to play the Leo, when he had to beef up to get to 245.

And Shane Ray, Randy Gregory, and Dee Ford last year.

Something, something, Ice Cream.
I'm falling for the hype with A-Rob. Hopefully his progression continues when the pads come on.
Sergio tweaked a hammy? We have like 2 healthy bodies at SS and FS...
Can one still register to go to the practice tomorrow?

Jaguars want Allen Robinson to play angrier
Allen Robinson | JAC
(June 17, 2015 1:00 PM EDT)
Coach Gus Bradley wants Allen Robinson to play angrier and with more aggression.
The Jaguars want to see that "my ball" attitude out of Robinson, who has been a spring star for the Jaguars after returning from last season's broken foot. "We want to be able to throw it up to him and know he's going to come down with the ball," Bradley said. Robinson stands 6'3/210 and has a 42-inch vertical. He should be peppered with targets as the X receiver. Bradley wants Robinson to get to the point where Blake Bortles can throw him the ball even if he's covered.

if Arob starts playing with this frame of mind, it will greatly increase my expectations of him.
