Quote:But eventually he will have to go through all that anyway, so why not now to get it over with?

He isn't far removed from surgery. My guess is he's been advised to wait until further along in the recovery process.

Its the lowest since I've been holding the stats (2008). By far.

Halfway to recovery inf a best-case scenario. Reports say he should be ready for rookie minicamps.
Quote:Caldwell just stated that they will consider a skill position like RB or WR in the 2nd only if the right player falls to their spot.

(paraphrasing from live presser)
sounds like gurley, Gordon, or green
Quote:Continuing the Fisher lovefest with a 7.25 3 cone test which measures agility. Hell of a score. Thats Devon Kennard put up last year. Kennard is 249 lbs.

What a beast. Unofficial 5.01 40 with a 1.75 split.

I think he's going first among OL this year. What a dominant performance.

That being said, TJ Clemmings was with him metric by metric, but Fisher distanced himself in the drills. Fisher and Clemmings are both 1st round prospects.

Erving also made some money for himself. 9'4 broad jump is a great score. Sticking with the comparison to Kennard, that's 1 inch shorter than what he jumped- again at 249 lbs. Definately booked himself a Day 1 draft slot. Best interior lineman by far, with Flowers maybe falling to the 2nd round IMO.

The FSU guards looked and tested miserable. Matias may have had the worst broad jump in history.
What was it? I looked on NFL.com, but couldn't find his.
For anybody worried about Jameis Winston's throwing shoulder: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...r-weakness

He will throw at the combine tomorrow, but skip on the bencn press.

Matt Miller is a guy I like for draft info and he had this to say on Twitter.

<p style="font-size:26px;">If you have a knee injury here, doctors will crank it and torque it like crazy. Totally understand Gurley saying no.

I agree (MM is good, and with his take.)

He's rehabbing it.  Look, but don't touch.  Too soon for any of the rest of that.

7 feet flat. In comparison, Cam Erving jumped 9 feet 4 inches...almost 2.5 feet further.

In other words, put him inside an MRI machine to get pictures of it. Did he submit to that part?
Is anybody watching all of the drills?

Oh my gosh! He's not very athletic I suppose. I think some of the other lineman (maybe it was TE) jumped over 11?

You can get all of the statistics here: http://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker

Unfortunately the broad jump is only measured in inches, not feet/inches, so I can't tell who jumped 11 feet. The top performer was Jesse James, who jumped over 121 inches.

lol 7ft?

Mine was somewhere just under the 9ft range. 8'7"-8-10" depending what day it was lol

12 inches = 1 foot

Inches convert to feet.
So, 2 days in, who's off your draft board now ? And who has leapt onto it as a result of their combine performance ?

From the workouts so far...

Down:

Peat, Flowers (pure G prospect now), the TE from UMass

Up:

Fisher, Erving, Donovan Smith, Tomlinson, Jesse James, Lawrence Gibson

Neutral:

Walford (as expected), Max Williams (as expected), Nick O Leary (short arms and small hands but looked good catching)

I know but that means 120 is 10 feet, so I don't see where 11 feet came from.

Off the board for me is Nick O'Leary. Small hands and a slow 40 time are the last two things you want to see in a tight end.

I may stop thinking Dante Fowler is a reach at #3 after Florida's Pro Day, but for now I am still on the fence about that.

Sooo...jameis winston said he is going to win the super bowl next year....dude needs to be tested for drugs.
