Quote:Seeing Landon Collins at the combine, it looks like Mark Ingram playing safety.
It translates to his tape IMO. He doesn't look like he has the speed needed to do well in the NFL.
Quote:Chris Hackett FS: 4.83 with 1.70 split
4.81 with 1.71 split
Ouch...
Quote:give the guy some credit...its kind of funny. To put yourself out there like that takes some guts.
I also think I would smoke him in the 40.
0% chance that was actually a 4.8 though haha
Kevin Johnson CB: 4.52 with 1.60 split
Dean Marlowe FS: 4.58 with 1.63 split
Cody Prewitt FS: 4.61 with 1.64 split
Damarious Randall FS: 4.47 with 1.57 split
Quinten Rollins CB (potential FS): 4.67 with 1.69 split
Eric Rowe CB/FS: 4.45 with 1.56 split
Josh shaw CB/FS: 4.44 with 1.55 split
*no Derron Smith
Trae Waynes CB: 4.35 with 1.55 split
Julian Wilson CB: 4.59 with 1.6 split
Quote:Does he really think he's fooling people by saying he ran a 4.8?
I'd say it was about 9 flat.

Woah Trae Waynes def the best of the bunch, 4.35 for a press CB is great
Prewitt thats not good for a FS, him and Holloman can be had in the mid rounds which would be great value
I could care less about Holloman tackling, give me a ball hawk any day of the week you cant teach that, he's big enough to learn how to be a better tackler
No Derron Smith or Gerod Holliman?
Been saying since Oct. that Prewitt isn't the centerfield FS we need....4.61//4.7 40s.

Saw a stat today where Holliman missed a third of his tackles. No thanks.
Watching some tape on bleacher report, Trae Waynes is certainly raising his stock today.

Yea he's bigger and faster then Darqueze Dennard, in trade back wouldnt be mad if we picked him
Justin Cox - FS - Mississippi State - 6'1" 191 lbs - 4.37/40
(Compare his Combine to Ron Darby)
This guy was an afterthought on most draft boards before today.
I mean 7th Rd - Street Free Agent type player.
He will move up but how high?
Should the Jags be looking at him on Day 2 (Rds 2 or 3)?

If a guy had previously projected to the seventh round and you draft him in the second purely based on Combine results, you're going to be the Oakland Raiders for a very long time.
stop putting so much stock in the 40

Looked Stiff hipped in the drills but I guess thats not concerning with a FS....not many picks in the SEC tho.
So is Justin Cox a top of Rd 4 selection?
4.8 guys like Chris Hackett are not going to cut it.

How about we look at his game tape?
Justin Cox - 38" Vertical, 10'9" Broad
It is not just the 40 guys.
The Combine is designed to uncover the potential of an athlete.
Demetrius McCray - 7th Rd CB
must be a dud
Right?
