Quote:Good for bortles and co.

Beadle paid 2.7 million for 1800 square feet? Must be a pretty special view.

There's a slide show of the property in the article linked.

Having real game experience from last season should do nothing less than help Bortles understand where he needs to be, and what he needs to work on.  I like the thought of the commitment he is willing to make. I hope, anyway.

For a man the size of Beadles that sure does seem small.

Well it is a townhouse. Regardless you're paying more for the view than you are the house itself.

That's Southern California for ya.

100,000 homes elsewhere are close to a Million over here

He's on Twitter. Let him know your thoughts.

Wow, he got ripped off. Could've got a lot more house on a Florida beach. It's also hard to believe the house's value nearly doubled in 10 years, but I'm no real estate expert.

He didn't get ripped off. Beachfront property in California is worth more than Florida. As an investment, I don't see this losing value.
Quote:I wonder who's training him on his fundamentals during the offseason. He can't have contact with his qb coach can he until o.t.a's correct?
The coaching staff is not allowed to initiate contact with players in this period but I don't think there is a rule against players to get help from the coaching staff. If it happened, the coaching staff would be foolish to refuse to help providing that they have time.

Many great QBs have done it. Peyton Manning, Brady, Luck, Rodgers... particularly Manning. This is a good thing.
Quote:where's my invite?!?

 What position do you play?
Quote:The best part here, to me anyway, is he's building this chemistry and also will have all this time to engrain his mechanics into his body. You know he's definitely going to focus on that throughout this camp, and hopefully the other guys will call him out if he's getting sloppy.
Hopefully, there will be someone there who can help him with his fundamentals so that he isn't further ingraining bad habits.
Quote:So it sounds like Marcedes and Marquis (LA natives) will attend.. Idk about AROBs current progression as far as injury goes. Hurnsy should probably be there as well.

Cecil probably won't because of his contract situation. Cecil trains at Fitzgeralds camp anyway.
But Marcedes can't catch
Great Leader for sure, if nothing else he stays sharp and is already in game shape for the following year

I am very optimistic that Blake will have a great year this year with Olsen in his ear and another season of learning the playbooks - I think the Jags are turning a corner this year

Quote:But Marcedes can't catch

Well then he really needs to attend BBs camp to work on his pass catching skills.

He might not be a Jag much longer anyway.
This is great to hear. I know many of us are expecting six to eight wins next year, and it's moves like this that'll help them actually get there.

Quote:Awhile back on "Jaguars Today" they mentioned that Bortles was calling different QBs around the league to ask for advice about how they train during the offseason.  Maybe he got this idea from one of them.  All good signs.

Good idea. Did they say which quarterbacks he called?

I don't know about that, but teams with new head coaches start a week before everyone else. That makes me wonder if it is OK to contact a new offensive coordinator without a change at head coach.

Exactly. He should probably be able to get his money back and then some more if he decides to sell in a few years.
they already said they were gonna do this a couple months ago

Awesome to read this. We ever had a qb do this type of thing?
