Jags fans can't catch a break. I don't think we will ever win the division.

I still don't think they're a very good football team; they beat a bad Bengals without their best player, and a Broncos team that has struggled (offensively) for the better part of a month or so. What they (the Colts) do have is a once in generation player at the QB position, that certainly gives them a fighters chance against anyone, the fact that they're in the AFC championship game speaks more to the ability of Andrew Luck than anything.

You do realize the "they are a bad football team" argument gets tossed completely out the window when they make the championship game right?

For ten years I heard they had a bad defense and were vulnerable. All they did was win the division 80% of the time to our 0.

The colts are a bad team that's going to continue to own this division for the coming decade, just like they did during the last one.

It is what it is at this point. They own us and they own the division. Always have, and there's no end in sight.

Yea, they're a bad team.

They've had phenomenal QB play for 15 plus years, the year Manning went down with his neck injury they won two games, coincidence? They don't protect the passer, they don't rush the passer well, they can't run the ball, and always struggle against the run. What they do have is a great QB that hides a lot of their deficiencies, it also helps they play in the worst (by far) division in football. I'm sorry, beating an Andy Dalton-led/AJ Greenless Bengals team that historically struggles in the playoffs, and a Broncos team led by a QB with obvious physical limiitaitons playing with a torn quad doesn't impress me

As in forever in the history of time?

Yeah, they are terrible. Can't believe this terrible team is in the AFC Championship game.

Are those the only two teams they beat on their way to the AFC championship game or something? If they beat the patriots, then what?

There's no way you can say that's a bad football team. Saying they are bad is like saying the Jags are good.

I hate the colts as much as the next guy around here, but I can't say they are a bad football team with a straight face.

It's starting to feel that way. There's just no denying it anymore, they own us. In the early 2000s, I would've said the colts are bad and the Jags will wax. More than a decade of getting our clocks cleaned later, I can admit that they flat out OWN us.

The only thing I hope for now is that it changes sometime soon. By the way things look, they are getting better and we are still the same old Jags. I'm not going to embarrass myself by trying to defend the idea they are a bad football team.

I'm just calling it like I see it. I think we are slowly getting better, but it feels like we are years and years away from being able to compete with them consistently. I think their GM is lousy and their owner is a genuinely bad person, and those two factors I'm hoping will eventually lead to their demise.
I wish the Jag's were 'bad' like the Colts right now. It must be tough being 'bad' as they progress in the playoffs...

Quote:Big game...against the team he played against for years... never any doubt Peyton would choke.   I thought the Broncos D would win the game.. but I should have taken the Del Rio factor into account.

Yeah, that's the whole issue … not like you would ever recognize the whole Perkolater bias part of the equation.  :woot:
Anyone feeling sorry for Peyton can go shine one of his Papa Johns bathroom stall urinals.

He's "Rich" +++ and, he deserves it ... I don't need to feel sorry for any of that,  I can't toss a urinal cake 10 feet accurately.  Averaged 2014 QBR under #2.

Quote:I dont think anybody anticipated Manning turning into Chad Henne

I don't think it was that at all ... I don't think anyone anticipated the Broncos turning into the Jaguars.  Wink

So you see? The Colts couldn't have possibly won, it had to be the other team lost, instead.

As salty as a pizza hut pretzel crust...  LOL!

Dude no one is comparing them to the Jaguars, they're obviously better than us. I simply don't believe they have a very good team outside of Andrew Luck, which (as I've previously stated) speaks to his enormous talent, he makes up and hides a lot of their deficiencies. When I think of a good football "team" I think of a roster that can consistently protect the QB, run the ball, stop the run, and rush the passer, the Colts are average to below average in all of those areas. If Andrew Luck played for the Jaguars we'd win the AFC South, if he played for Titans they'd win the AFC South, see where I'm going with this? I don't care if they flat out "own us", that's irrelevant to the point I'm making; their roster isn't that talented outside of the QB position.

It's just embarrassing that jag fans make these posts saying the colts are bad. Even Sammy, a 127 year old man, is clowning on us for it. Of course that team is no where near as good without Luck.
Another embarrassing thread would be the poll on who's better, luck or bortles. We do it to ourselves.

Sammy is 115 tops!

It's a level headed way to think. Jags will never win the AFC South since things never change in the NFL.

An even more level-headed way of thinking would be to assume people aren't ever sarcastic on the inter webs.
