Quote:I rewatched the game after I got home from the stadium. One of the commentators that said this is the kind of team that "explodes the following year." I agree. I think we go big in FA, I think Blake will be ready and I think our defense will be even better. I absolutely expect to be in every game next year. All you have to do to see the flashes is watch the team and not the score.

There's a ton of things that have to go right for that to happen. I hope you're right, we'll see.

And this is precisely what Caldwell is saying will happen.  In a fan forum he did back on the 20th, he made it very clear that when the team does turn it around, it's going to happen very quickly.  The team is going to have a huge war chest to work with in free agency, and they're going to HAVE to spend that money this year.

Agreed, but there's nothing to indicate that these things won't go right for the team.  It's all a wait and see game, but with the young players getting much needed playing time, and already starting to contribute, all signs are pointed in the right direction so far.  It may not be much fun right now, but there are bright spots, and hopefully that will continue to expand as the season winds down.  There's a lot of youth on the field contributing right now.  Experience will breed consistency.
Quote:If people can't see what's happening and still want to complain after a win... Yes they are morons... Maybe you shouldn't come on the Internet if you are so soft. Try nick.com I think they have many bright and colorful as well as Friendly games and as well a message board...

Football isn't a tough mans game or anything... I should watch what I say to a bunch of fake fans who could give two craps about anythinf but wins and losses.

I guess we should have just retooled after gene and kept spending money in those great players we have picked up over the year...
And maybe you shouldn't try and act like the internet tough guy... since you have no idea who you're talking to.

I agree the early experience for the young players is helpful.  However, I do not agree that "all signs are pointed in the right direction right now."

BB is an unknown...

Bowanko is an unknown...

Colvin shows promise early...

Hurns shows promise...

M Lee shows promise...

Linder looks good early...

T Smith shows early promise...

Cyp needs to be replaced or drastically improve...

Ryan Davis shows promise...

Evans needs to be replaced...

Gratz needs to be replaced...

Joeckel is a question mark at best right now...

McCray shows promise...

Pasztor needs to be replaced...

DRob is a solid RB...

Sanders needs to be cut...

There's a lot of "potential" there.  My hope is that the 2014 draft class lives up to some of it better than it looks like the 2013 class is so far.

If Caldwell has drafted better in 14 then he did in 13 then we could see improvement in a year or 2.  If he didn't, well, then we will see another rebuild in the coming years.

Seriously? You dreamed of 6-22 over the past two years? And that's EVERYTHING? Sigh...

Don't even bother with this dude. He's been posting this crap for a week now. Which is how long he's had an account...
Quote:100% loves gus. He is going nowhere.

Honestly from reading these boards for the last few weeks which I never used to because people are so negative i began to jump on the bandwagon of losing faith in gus

After that video I hope you all choke on your words when we are completely done with this too top bottom rebuild and Dave has a chance to add some great young talent which he has done through the draft.. And add some FA... We're exactly where we need to be

Gus has been nothing short of EVERYTHING we could have dreamed for where we are with this organization

I believe once again. I should have stayed true. I was a moron

Troll on

what a loser
Quote:Players have bought in
Yeah.  "Good job Coach, We can make all of the mistakes we want and still get ice cream afterwards"  6-22 and they buy in?

Quote:You know damn well that the vast majority of the people weren't expecting 16-0, or 10-6, or even 8-8.

Most people expected an improvement over last year.

Most people expected something like 4-6 wins this year.

Starting 1-10 in the fashion that we did makes people angry.  They (we) don't lack "perspective"....

There may be a handful of trolls, but those should be ignored anyway.

There are legitimate reasons to question the coaching staff and the direction this franchise is going.  People disagreeing don't lack perspective, they just have different opinions than you.
Whats funny is its the real idiots calling the logical people morons.  Who in their right minds expected this team to be this bad after 2 offseasons.  All I hear is the youth excuse but it's Caldwells fault why the roster is so young.  WHile we are sitting almost 50 million under the cap.  Good job Dave
Quote:call me crazy but yes - I expect year 2 of the rebuild to be better than year 1.

I thought that's how things go.
YOU IDIOT.  That makes too much sense.  How dare you expect progress and expect a better team fater 2 years of rebuilding.  The apologist can't execpt that.
Quote:HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO WIN WITH 22 year old 6 round draft picks...

You're all [BAD WORD REMOVED] morons
Drunk on the koolaid

Quote:Gus and Dave are still on the same window regardless of what happened this game (or the rest of the season). Its great that the locker room loves him, that's not really a surprise. Anyone who's ever sat in any of Bradley's rah-rah speech knows he's a great motivator. Players dig that. But unless this team closes in on a playoff birth next season, that doesn't matter. Certainly another 4 win season next year would be unacceptable.

That said, I was very surprised in finding out that this was the biggest comeback in the history of the Jaguars.

18 points...

Thinking back to all the firepower we had in the past during the Brunell era, the Dom Capers-led defense, the power running game/defense that JDR had...none of them could overcome being down 18 points.

That a 1-10 team was able to accomplish it with all the young players on offense and defense has to speak some volume on just how much these guys are buying into whatever Gus is preaching...

Um that's because those powerhouses where never down by that much, unlike today we are used to 20 point losses, the 90s team rarely if ever lost by that much or ever trailed by that much.
Quote:Seriously? You dreamed of 6-22 over the past two years? And that's EVERYTHING? Sigh...

Anyone who uses the win loss record of the first season of a complete rebuild to argue ANY POINT WHATSOEVER, is an idiot.

The team might have the cap space, but there's still a lot of dominos that need to fall for it to work in our favor. As we've seen in most cases, prime players (such as JPP, Julius, Dez Bryant) rarely hit free-agency.
We'll be forced to spend money on guys like Beadles and Clint Session and will finish 6-10 next year if this entire coaching staff stays.

2nd year of a rebuild....

They began rebuilding last year when they got rid of Daryl, Knighton, and Monroe.

We lost 22 games already this year? I guess it worse than I thought.
Quote:So tell me why Gus Bradley is a bad head coach without pointing to the record and saying huurr duurrr. Explain what Gus is doing or isn't doing that is CAUSING the win-loss record.
You're trying to handicap someone's argument with that no win/loss crap and a dude still gave you valid reasons why Gus sucks. He didn't even add that his in game coaching is terrible. Now you explain without pointing to youth, rookies, and inexperienced to why Gus is a good coach.
