JB is doing fine. All of you are trolls on a forum and have no idea what goes on

You'll all start crying when he's back but everyone's been bashing me for months...

Guess it pays to have common sense

JB will be reinstated soooon

And be at the facility. And then in game shape.

I hope you're right
Quote:Can you say Ricky Williams.
Bad example.

He never topped 800 yards in a season after coming back.
Quote:Or Mike Vick

Vick had a hell of a season a couple years after coming back. Then lost his job to Foles. Unfortunately that's all he did.
Quote:Rondo McClain looked good this year before getting injured.

McClain played decently but I don't think he missed what basically amounts to 2 seasons like Blackmon.
Quote:??? He's involved in community activities? Really? Is this a joke post? I can't tell if you're using the 'sarcasm font'...

That sound you're hearing is a whoosh!
Here's a list of 5 or 6 players who faced similar situations.

Needless to say Blackmon faces an uphill battle.

Are you claiming to have actual knowledge of his status?

I think Blackmon's situation more closely resembles Koren Robinson than any of those players.

Now that's a name I haven't heard in forever. I tend to agree with you.

Rolando. He played against the Redskins. What injury are you talking about?
He got hurt against Arizona.....
The fact that he still has an agent means that he does have intentions of coming back to football. Even better that he chose to do this on his own instead of someone forcing him to do it.

One thing to keep in mind: Blackmon might have gotten suspended after reinstatement by Goddell.....6 months ago. Now because of the Ray Rice incident, Goddell likely will no longer have sole say on that issue since he was practically forced to give up a lot of power.

Try reading the policy. It explains the entire process that Blackmon has to go through and Ray Rice has absolutely nothing to do with the procedure.

That way you don't have to come up with silly theories as to what is going on with Blackmon or what conditions and processes he has to abide by in order for  Goddell to reinstate him.

Appendix B explains it in simple english. https://images.nflplayers.com/mediaResou...282%29.pdf
Blackmon and Robinson #1 and #2, Hurns switching in. Lee in the slot with Ace (hopefully gameready) switching in for him.

Mannnnn, please!

No, it doesn't.  It simply means that his player-agent contract has not yet expired, or been otherwise terminated (Just like his contract with the Jaguars).  It says absolutely nothing about his intentions.

I guess so...

Honestly, this is a pretty terrible list of comparisons. I don't know that there really is an accurate comparison though.

Plax - He was over 30 by the time his suspension came.

Ricky - IMO, the closest comparison. He didn't light the world on fire upon his return, but it's not like he lived up to the hype before he left. Before he "retired", he averaged 3.5 ypc.

Vick - Mike played a completely different position, where age and athleticism isn't nearly as important. He's also a once and a lifetime athlete, and still showed some of his speed and an elite arm upon his return. He fell off quick after that though.

Jones - Personally, I didn't think he was *that* good even when he played. He was more lethal in the return game than he was at corner.

Blackmon is only 24 years old. To think that he can't recover from this if he is in the right mindset is kind of crazy. He hasn't played in a year. If he gets his mind right and starts getting himself into shape, I don't see why at the age of 25 he can't come back and still be productive.

Jimmy Smith was drafted in 1992 and didn't play a game until 1995. He's still early in his career to bounce back if he gets his mind and body right.
My guess is that he will apply for reinstatement before the start of next season.  I'm not expecting him back this year.
