Quote:Scobee's had a few kicks blocked this year, is he kicking low or a line problem?

Looks like we've had some punts close to being blocked too. My guess is a line problem.
Quote:No timeouts, if the player is tackled inbounds or Bortles is sacked its game over. Lots of coaching decisions to question today, this isn't one of them.

You roll out Blake so he can throw it away if there is no play. The longer the kick the lower the ball and we know the results. Yes not trying to get the ball closer was a bad call!

And then the receiver catches the ball, can't get out of bounds and there's no time for a spike.

Then the board erupts in threads about how Bradley is in over his head because he didn't kick it on 3rd down,

you act like nobody has ever made a 55 yarder before because the kick is too low...
The block was a classic #BECAUSEJAGUARS moment

Exactly

It was almost like, of course it's blocked.

When the commentator said "Scobee is 63% beyond 50" I thought, "welp, he's gonna miss it."

Gus said 12 seconds and no timeouts was too close to try another play before FG. Said their "MayDay" time is 17 seconds

I thought that too.

It was like a curse.

Titan fans probably felt like they were going to lose too

It was a damned if you, damned if you don't situation.

Honestly..... it looked like it was missing. Starting to wonder if Scobee is healthy
Ok ok ok but whos fault is it we had no timeouts left?

From the Jags LR: Josh Scobee upset that K ball didn't get on field until late, play clock running down, rhythm of FG was off.

We Were Jobbed
We had plenty of opportunities to win the game but failed as usual. How often does an onside kick actually work, 10% maybe. That was pure luck which shouldn't have happened against any professional team. We were just lucky the Titans have boneheaded players too.

Shorts fumble and Bortles pick were killers too. On the final kick by Scobee he makes that kick in warmups all the time. Just because the Titan's player got a hand on the ball doesn't negate the validity of the decision.

You cant totally pin the loss on bradley, but all these little mistakes add up. You gotta be able to count on your coach, especially with such a young team
Quote:Yes, Thank you kicking expert. The difference in trajectory, if there is one, between a 50 and 55 yarder is negligible.

The block was by a fingertip. Even an inch can make a difference.

I do agree with the decision to kick it. The risk of running out of time was too great at that point. But a shorter kick would probably not have been blocked, all other things being equal.
