The team goes for more yardage and the clock runs out: Why didn't Bradley kick it?

He made decisions that can be second guessed. The two challenges were awful. Kicking it with 12 seconds left was not a problem.

This decision was fine.  We make the kick and it's game over 99.9% of the time.  Scobee is easily good enough to make it from that distance.  Last thing you want there is to go for it, get a sack or catch in bounds, and you are screwed.

It looked to me like Hurns could have got more yardage, but rookie. I don't think kicking it with 12 seconds left was out of the ordinary.

You don't criticize a decision based upon the results. You criticize the decision based upon the facts which weigh into the decision.

That was another damned if you do situation.  He knows he absolutely MUST get out of bounds - and he did.  He did leave some yards on the field, but trying for the extra yards and getting tackled in bounds is a big no no.  For the most part, we played it smart and executed pretty well in the last 2 minutes.  To have a chance was pretty amazing.  I had zero confidence when we were 9 down with 1 timeout.  Bortles made a lot of good decisions and good throws.  He took another step.  I think we've got one of the next great QBs here, boys.  It's crazy to think what he could do with a team around him.

Look at the video on NFL.com. Hurns was off balance after the catch. No way he could have done anything but step out of bounds.

I think the problem is this coaching staff lacks killer instinct. They are way too passive. Instead of putting a dagger in their heart, they'd rather take the least aggressive/easy way out. The stupid screens, and the time management that was called all day tells us everything we need to know about this regime.

A 55 yarder is a low percentage kick. 

 

 

 

Every other 31 NFL teams would have tried to pick up more yardage in that situation.

Haha, some of our fan base are either dumb as rocks or they are plants to simply defend every move the coaching/ management make. 

 

It was NOT the correct call. 

 

Stop acting like a 55 yarder is some chip shot. Its a low percentage attempt.

I was criticizing the decision when I saw them line up for the FG with 3rd and 2 and 12 sec left. Any other NFL team would have tried to get more yardage on that 3rd down. It was asinine to kick there as if a 55 yarder is a chip shot. Its a low percentage attempt.

They won't get it. 12 sec was plenty of time for one more play and a field goal. Other teams would have made their percentage of winning a little higher with that strategy.

I'm thinking the people defending this move are plants by the team to just blindly defend the teams decisions.
