Quote:I wish coaches would be this forthcoming again and display that kind of intensity
It's definitely entertaining but his display is not of someone who comes across as having a plan and knowing it will succeed in the long run. It comes across more like an angry fan. I'm fine with coaches of other teams reacting like that. I'd never want that coming out of my team's coach though.

Skipped over my link, didn't you?

Quote:Even with that example, nothing was set in stone. And as the season grew closer, even Caldwell was saying his performance definitely had them looking at their timeline.
Nothing was set in stone even with that link, and as camp / preseason went on, Gus even alluded to the fact that he had an idea of when Bortles would be installed into the starters role, and it surely implied some point during this season, not 2015.

TMD: Nobody ever said that.
TB: Here is the link I found with 30 seconds and google.
TMD: Well, they obviously didn't mean it. It wasn't set in stone. Later they said other things that may mean something else.
Classic.
Quote:Right. Because only people on this message board are saying it.
Just wait.
It will only get louder if the team loses next week after Henne is Henne again.
Way to quote the whole thing and not respond to any of it.
You're obviously really burned up about it. Some fans have trouble disconnecting from a loss. Some fans don't have realistic expectations coming into the season. You should take solace in the fact that you are obviously not alone.
At the end of the day, we're 1 game into the season and I saw a very strong defensive performance by our squad that should have been enough to win even with Henne at QB. We didn't lose because of Henne yesterday, but evidently his few mistakes were all that you and others needed to get on your soapboxes today. Everything changed for us when Cyprien went out. I don't like drawing conclusions off of one game, but if that's any indication of what the season will be like then as long as we stay healthy we should be "in" games. Staying relatively healthy through an entire season will be a challenge and the depth of this roster probably isn't where it needs to be yet. I expected 5 wins and more competitive ball games coming into this season. Yesterday did nothing to sway me on that.

Oh please, the team never seriously was considering sitting Blake for the entire season once they saw what they had in the preseason games.....so just shut up, tard. Any rhetoric of sitting the whole year shortly after drafting was at best a guess and not a declaration at all.

You were wrong.
Try to spin Caldwell's own words anyway you want.

You really just can't stand to be wrong can you? You said they never said it. He proved you wrong with 30 seconds of effort. You were wrong. Own it instead of this tap dancing nonsense you love so much, maybe people would take you slightly seriously.
Quote:I still think the issue at this point has more to do about the OL, than Bortles actual readiness. However, there could indeed be stuff regarding the playbook that Bortles simply hasn't mastered yet and we wouldn't really be privy to that info.
Wow, a very mature post from you. You're noticing that we as fans are only privy to what we see on TV or YouTube videos, in your case.
Chad Henne doesn't know the whole playbook.

He wasnt the only one to be proven wrong with a link. The message board fake security guard was as well. Then they won't provide a link to this it was never set in stone crap but say somebody said it. No point going back and forth with these dudes. They're happy with the progress of the team good for them. You have the right to voice your displeasure if you dont like what you're seeing also.

Well he did say probably. It wasn't set in stone. Ideally that is how they wanted it to go and probably thought it would go. They didn't anticipate Bortles progressing as fast as he did.

What are you even trying to say.
Quote:Dan Hicken was embarrasing himself this morning with that argument.
He had to. Prosser took the other side of the argument. It's radio. How it works.
What's really funny is how all that hogwash that John O was saying about Henne getting the team in and out if huddles quickly, but then Henne uses all three times before 6 minutes left in the 4th. Hell they might have used all three in the third qtr.
Does John O ever have a clue?

Every company has a "yes man". John O is that guy for the Jaguars. If he said what he really felt, he would be writing articles for high school football. The propaganda approach doesn't work so well these days.
Quote:It really doesn't matter what I think. I'm not making the decisions. They think Henne gives them the best chance to win right now. Right or wrong, this is what they think.
Why are you afraid to answer the question?

Why does it matter? My opinion isn't going to sway a decision any more than yours. I'm just smart enough to recognize that.

So which is it; no opinion or just afraid to express it?
Quote:They have conviction to what they believe. Chad will start the next few games at least. I think once we are 0-5 Blake will go in.
The problem I have is with the conviction they have made before ever seeing Blake throw a ball in OTA's doesn't it seem prudent to wait until you see the man play before you decide to bench him for a year! Isn't OTA's, camp and preseason for evaluating if a player is ready to play?
